Your Pets

I feel the same way with terrariums. Y'all heard about the SerpaDesigns guy? His animal room is my dream. I have another 20-gallon tank, and I so wanna set it up somewhere. What I'm getting, I dunno; I'm loving the crested geckos but I may look into poison frogs, too.

Golly, I can't wait for the next reptile expo. Maybe I'll take my friends this time
Also want to finally get a Reptile when I finally moved somewhere else and the Birds have a bigger Cage and their Climbing Area with Plants.
Want to get a Ackie Monitor 😊

Watched the Video a few Days ago where he made that Terrarium for the Rubber Ducky Isopods. They are even cuter than I've remembered and it was so awesome

Never heard of those. A bit bigger than I can handle, currently.

I'd love lizards though, especially a chameleon. The only things I WILL NOT GET are spiders (for my sake of not having a heart attack one day), snakes (because my mom is afraid of them), and scorpions because I don't wanna accidentally startle it if I ever have to stick my hand in and it stings me; if I don't die from the venomous ones, it'll still hurt.

Nope, lizards, geckos, and frogs for me, good sir

He inspired me to build a terrarium. We found an old '87 TV set, took out all the wiring and TV stuff, and we cut out part of the too to make a functional trapdoor with netting, allowing us to be able to open the inside. Now we need glass to put the tank together, but it's a bit more pricey than I thought. I plan to build it and then sell it

A big Part of the Length also comes from the Tail though. They aren't really very big. Need relatively much Space though like all Monitor Lizards but due to the small Size, you can just buy a Terrarium that is big enough for them😃
😂 One Day it'll look like Australia when I can get enough Space because so many Pets that I want to have are from there
  • Ackie Monitor
  • Tasmanian Pademelon
  • Australian Brush Turkey (don't know though if there's a Way to get those in Germany)

Oh gosh, I would never get a macropod as a pet.
My mom and I look at an exotic pet website because we were curious about how to take care of these animals (fennec foxes, sugar gliders, kangaroos, etc.)

We were laughing hysterically at kangaroos because we'd need a super high fence to keep them in, plus we'd need to put diapers on them, at least for a little bit. We compared it to taking care of a full grown man that'd jump around our yard wearing diapers and threatening to beat us up🤣

Why would they need Diapers? For when they are inside the House? I imagine putting them on to be quite difficult

Yeah ackies need alot of space compared to their size. But its still small in terms of monitors.
No clue how its in other places but germany is big on those chipboard terrariums. Which are perfect imo, especially for high heat animals like monitors or bearded dragons because they keep the heat in way better than full glas ones do. And they come in alot of different sizes and are really affortable.
I use these for all my lizards aswell!

🤔 do you mean ones that are partially made out of Wood? Someone on YouTube mentioned that it would be best to use something like that for Ackie Monitors.
I wouldn't be comfortable to use those for something out of a moist Environment though due to the Danger that it might mold

I mean those from osb platten. They are pretty moisture resistent, and are also sold sealed with pet safe epoxy

Update: I have cleaned out my bird feeder and I have seen some birds start to come back!
What kinda birds, if you don't mind me asking?
In my yard we just get sparrows, but when we go to the farm (the country. Not a real farm with barnyard animals), we set out hummingbird feeders and we always get a ton. I especially live to see the males dancing for the females

When I first put the feeder out mid july, these were the common birds I'd see:
. House Sparrows (a ton)
. Common Grackles
. Mourning Doves
. Black-Capped Chickadees
. House Finches
. Gold Finches
. Northern cardinals
. Tufted Titmice
. White-breasted Nuthatches
. Northern Flickers
. Red-bellied Woodpeckers
. Downy Woodpeckers
. Chipping Sparrows
. Song Sparrows
. Red-winged Blackbirds
. Brown-headed Cowbirds
. I saw a D**kcissel in with a sparrow flock once too!

I also put out a hummingbird feeder but never got any :(

I would love to get that variety of birds, for me seems to be never ending house sparrows with the occasional (very loud) gathering of European starlings. I think most other birds are well aware of the birds of prey in the forest nearby.

😑 absolutely great. I can do nothing. Not even getting a bigger Cage for my Birds. The disgustingly sick Health Insurance lied to me. I was so happy that I could pay all my Debt immediately.
No. No Happiness allowed because I found out today that there's way more that I need to pay and I will need approximately 9 Months to pay all of it unless I can finally get a Job (currently all my Money comes from something we have here in Germany where People without a Job can get financial Help) but why should I be able to get a Job now if I've tried for Years without Success?

oof. Good luck though. It'll come.

Really hope there's some Way that the Job Center can do something to end it earlier but I doubt it and I might need a Day for myself tomorrow. At least at the Moment I feel way too angry and sad to make a Appointment
