Being a LEP, I've got my money's worth many times.

But in real life, don't we reward people close to us ? Most of those people will not accept it outright but it is stored in the good people section :)

To be blunt, rewards are given for different things, triple Elite will get decals only for those people.

My guess is that will most certainly not be a game thing only for them. Even Founders world is achievable .

So in this case some of us spend real money up front before the game was released and Fdev might want to reward that further than they have, if so ...not needed in my case but thanks a lot :).

This game have put my in touch with so many good people that I would never have met otherwise, So for me one of the life things ...Thanks Fdev :)

Hey, you guys are really great at interpreting omen!

Maybe you can help me with this one: Today, I saw a white dove and a swallow colliding during flight. They both fell down, dead. The dove’s little beak pointet west towards the setting sun, the swallow’s body headed northwards (where the sun never stands; could have been towards the bakery too, tough.)
This is surely meaningful. What does it say regarding the premium DLC though?

also, he's hinting at something 'to discuss', not to deliver. suggests he's not thinking about any surprise killer feature developed secretly, but something different, something the community needs to be informed of or even participate. could be anything from some change in strategy to maybe some premium content for features still (in theory) under discussion (like, e.g., squadrons).

otoh, there has to be something, and soon. early 2019 would be a long stretch already, beyond that the doom predictions might start to sound more grim than ridiculous. they know it, we all do too. and ed knows perfectly well he can't say. he's a professional after all :D

my personal gut feeling? there's nothing, or not much. they don't know how to admit that they have wasted this full year, and are still hoping to pull a rabbit from the hat, so just buying time.

Well, you are right that it reads quite neutral, and could be either good or bad news. Except the "really really cool" at the end.

edit: ah no, the really cool part is about something else. Neutral it is.

lol, yes that is how it sounded. But to be fair I did just jump to the timestamp and they had been streaming for several hours, so maybe just tired, tired of the whole thing.

They said last year that the paid premium content would be coming before the end of 2018 and the end of 2018 is approaching faster every day, so I'm not entirely sure how many more "soon's" we can keep getting in regards to this question.

At the moment it seems that people just want to know if it's still coming and maybe get an idea of the type of content that we can expect from it. I don't think anyone is actually asking for full-on access to the secret black box files of Frontier Developments here so it makes you wonder why they've been so lacking in clarity on the matter.

Threads like this are the nursery of the seeds of unrealistic expectation plants...this is the unhealthy hobby of obsession. Best to simply enjoy the spectacle at this point cos trying to label it as a bit sad just paints a target on yer forehead.

Its like that scene from the Ironman movie where the nerd even had a tattoo of his idol...boggles the mind a bit just watching threads like this create something outta nothing but its entertaining ^

The lack of response after repeated (ad infinitum) requests for information as to what FD are doing with the Elite franchise is not unusual in the slightest. There was a time, it lasted for about 18 years or so, where it was complete stony silence, so, ya know...

The Q3 content has just dropped, I suspect they are beavering away on the Q4 content, it's a biggie, they've gotta deliver on that, they've announced what its going to contain for the most part. I honestly don't expect any paid DLC announcement until after the Q4 release. I'm sure Ed and the whole team would love to tell us stuff, but there's a company policy and I don't blame anyone in not being able to give details.

I'm a LEPer, happy to wait, looking forward to the Q4 release and whatever might come after, and like the rest of us, will be eagerly watching for any snippet of info they may decide to let slip.

I think people just want an answer on premium content, if Frontier aren't providing an answer then people will discuss why.

Not sure why you'd call that "sad", we are all fans of the game here, some of us paid in advance for content.
