Let's play: Guess the Winter DLC

With roughly a month left for the next estimated DLC, this is a thread for a fun little game, different from the speculation thread.

Here, every member can write DLC suggestions with a roster of animal (and scenery). There's no further discussion or speculation.

The goal:
To get as close to the actual winter 2022 DLC as possible, in both roster and title.

Every user gets how nany tries you want, but if you repeat someone else's exact suggestion, it doesn't count.

Winner gets to say "I told you so", and a picture of a wolverine in a fancy sombrero.

You had me at sombrero. Ok, so, let's see the clues:

...

Ok, those are the clues. Here's my guess:

Southern Hemisphere animal pack
  1. Spectacled bear
  2. Maned wolf
  3. Greater rhea
  4. Patagonian mara
  5. Emu
  6. Tasmanian devil
  7. Bennett's wallaby
  8. Tuatara (E)
I tried to avoid tropical species as we have a ton of SA animals from the tropics and there aren't many tropics in Oceania (well, at least Australia. I don't know about the nearby islands)

Islands animal pack:
  1. Tasmanian devil (Top 1 habitat animals meta wishlist)
  2. Fossa (Missed opportunity to be in twilight pack + Popular)
  3. Tree kangaroo (Really popular)
  4. Kiwi (Missed opportunity to be in twilight pack + Bird)
  5. Japanese serow (Asia ungulate)
  6. Sea otter (CUTE)
  7. West indian manatee (Introduce the last locomotion mechanic, in the last pack of the year)
  8. Panther chameleon (E) (Top 1 exhibit animals meta wishlist)

Probably gonna get flak for this but I'm still a believer in the Avian Animal Pack. I have no guesses as to what would come in it and how it would work. Maybe it's all exhibit birds maybe some exhibit, some habitat. IDK! I know it's becoming less of a popular opinion but I gotta stick with my gut feeling!
If I had to give some guesses I would say birds like
  • Bald Eagle
  • Kiwi
  • Secretary Bird
  • Emu
  • Toucan (Any)
  • Scarlett Macaw

Are probably some sure fires, but who knows. I'm just excited for more animals tbh no matter what we get!

Ice Age Animal Pack
-Muskox
-Six Banded Armadillo
-Dromedary Camel
-Sumatran Rhinoceros
-Spectacled Bear
-Saiga Antelope
-European Bison
-Linnaeus’s Two Toed Sloth (WE)

This pack would include animals that were either around during or are descendants of animals from the Pleistocene epoch. This would fit the Winter theme, be an oddball and unexpected pick for a theme (which Frontier seems to be doing recently) and would give us some very highly requested animals (muskox, armadillo, dromedary, sloth).

Just one thing: be creative with your titles people! We always fail at guessing them, let's manage it once.

I feel like predicting what Frontier is planning is futile at this point (this is the year of bamboozlement) so I'm just gonna do my favourite pack idea that has some chance of happening:

Island Animal Pack:
  1. Tasmanian Devil (Tasmania) - Most highly requested animal on the community metawishlist
  2. Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo (New Guinea) - Highly requested, with tree kangaroos also being the most iconic animals from New Guinea alongside cassowaries
  3. Fossa (Madagascar) - Highly requested, Madagascar's iconic apex predator and one of the most notable missing species from the island
  4. Lowland Anoa (Sulawesi) - Oddball pick of the pack, finally gives us another species from Sulawesi to go alongside the babirusa
  5. North Island Brown Kiwi (New Zealand) - One of the most highly requested birds and New Zealand's most iconic animal, first species from the island nation
  6. Nene (Hawaii) - Another oddball pick but one I'm sure would be popular, first waterfowl and first species from Hawaii
  7. American Flamingo (Caribbean & Galapagos) - "Clone" of the pack, first habitat animal from the Caribbean
  8. Rodrigues Flying-fox [WE] (Rodrigues) - Another bat being added to the walkthrough exhibit is quite likely, with this species being one of the most common flying-foxes in captivity and the first species from the Mascarene Archipelago
Four Oceanian animals and three birds, do I dare to dream?

Taiga animal pack:

1. Wisent (Europe): I already know there will be some people that wouldn't like to get the european bison since we have the american one, but here are some reasons why we should be getting it:
-It became an extint animal in the wild in the XX century, kept in zoos and reintroduced to nature across the whole european continent.
-Pretty commun in european zoos.
-We won't have a complete european roster until we get this iconic animal.
-It is Europe's largest native mammal.
-I really need this beautiful european animal.
2. American black bear (North America): I know there were people asking for him, so here we go. He can be found across the whole North American continent. We got our last bear in March 2021 with the Southeast Asia Animal Pack so i think it's time to get another bear specie.
3. Elk (North America/Asia): Yeah, I know, we got the red deer as 3rd aniversary gift... but hes such a magnificent animal and would be great to have him.
4. Wolverine (NA, Europe, Asia): He's one of the most requested animals, it is a must have before we stop getting animals.
5. Wild boar (Asia, Europe, NA, SA, Oceania): As the wolverine, pretty much requested, pretty commun in zoos also, another great animal to have.
6. European Pine Marten (Europe): This is meant to be the small animal in this pack, since the wisent, black bear and elk are pretty large, and wolverine and wild boar can be considered middle size, we reach the 6th animal with the little european pine marten wich is a nice animal and well, maybe ''unexpected'' one, having in mind Frontier loves to surprise us in each pack with a unexpected animal it could be this one.
7. Common swan (Asia, Europe, NA): We really need for more birds and this could be such a good oportunity in order to get the beautiful common swan.
8. Sand lizard (Europe, Asia): Last but not least we have the sand lizard, a beautiful and colorful lizard who can be found across most of the european continent and part of Asia.

I know my animal pack have a huge representation of european animals, but since im european i want to see more pressence of my continent in the game, don't jugde me so hard :p

Winner gets to say "I told you so", and a picture of a wolverine in a fancy sombrero.
I want that Picture

Petting Zoo Pack (at least I hope we'll finally get one)
-Dwarf Donkey
-African Pygmy Goat
-Sussex Chicken
-Dwarf Zebu (or Dromedary even though it would obviously not be Walkthrough but would fit due to the Fact that it is domesticated and is often seen in Depictions of the Birth of Jesus so it would fit the Christmas Theme👍🐪)
-European Hamster or Black Rat (just remembered how massive European Hamsters are. So I'm not entirely sure if this one would work as a Exhibit Animal)

New Objects:
-Tractor
-Tractor Ride
-Apple Trees
-Wall mounted Water Through (Google Translate claims the english Term is Horse Drinker but I'm not sure if that's right)
-Hay Bales
-Straw Bales
-various Farm Equipment (don't know what we got with the Conservation Pack. I mean Stuff like Pitchforks, Rakes, Shovels and Buckets. I think a proper Wheelbarrow was included in the Conservation Pack but if not, include it here too)
-Salt Stone (Enrichment Item for Ungulates)
-Tree Stump (Food Enrichment for Bark eating Animals like Reindeer, Equids, Rodents and I think also the Moose)
-new Variations of the Blackberry Bush that actually have Berries on them
-various Animal Signs in the Style of the Aquatic, Conservation and Twilight Pack

Update:
-Variations Update for the Bactrian Camel, the Reindeer and maybe also the Llama (including Piebald Variations for these Animals. Maybe also for the Indian Peafowl)
-maybe if they figure out how to do it also Guest Interactions with Animals (petting and feeding)
-wooden Hay Racks and Throughs to get even more of that Farm/Christmas Stable/Feeding Forest Animals in Winter Feeling
