Elite Dangerous: In Case You Missed It | Update 14 Release Date and More!

They said " An increase in pay out for EXObiology " , but it's NOT with the update , this will be done on it's own this week or next . so exploring gets the ' Second Thought ' treatment again. 🤬

point and click= you need 3 samples
something more difficult, like "core mining at molecular level"= you need 2 (partially succes) or 1 (full succes) sample :)

It could be good way, for both types of people.
Maybe if one were allowed to collect more than one set of 3 samples there could be extra analysis options or something? I also think extracting organic materials from biologicals would be a nice addition to some synthesis type of stuff to collect or even generate some onfoot mat equivalents like the Genetic Sample or Oxygenic Bacteria etc..

Meanwhile on Xbox …. Maybe Jonny Watts could shed light on why direction into ignoring the console market for what is a niche game given.

Greetings Commanders & ED crew. I've been in the mix for just over a year now. I've tried most aspects of the game, stick to open play, got ganked and reprimanded two days ago for participating in the Kingfisher supply CG, and then managed to get through with two loads of goodies for the megaship. A satisfying experience I'd say.

So thanks very much all for keeping the game alive. It's truly an astonishing demonstration of virtuoso coding and always a blast!!!

O7.

Yeah the current system doesn't make a lot of sense really. 3 samples? Why? Now I could understand if the samples were far apart, like half a planet, that would give you an idea of diversity, but some are only 150m, that's not going to give you genetic diversity, in fact considering how a lot of plants work on earth they might even be the same plant.

As I said on a different thread, I think the current way the analyser works is it doesn't collect physical material at all, it burns the sample after 3 collections, so it more than likely analyses the DNA and stores it digitally for upload to Vista Genomics servers.

Maybe samples from the bio of planets could have been tied to some suit upgrades, give us explorers another way get extended life support and etc. At least we're getting a payout buff, and if the payout is calculated at the time of handing in rather than collection, as seems to be the case with UC data, then just hold on to all your current organic data until then.

I'll make sure to stay away from the game for at least a month then. Updates always screw everything up. Not to mention someone has been tweaking stuff for the worse again as I've seen this morning.

Further to previous Rat Catcher - I'm 7,600 LY from Sol right now and on my way back to bubble, not very near any stations. Do you or anyone else here know if the ammo for handheld weapons can be synthesised as they can for ship weapons, if I run out whilst prospecting? Cheers!
I don't know, but I want to say these weapons should never run out of ammo! :\ If they are energy weapons then why do I need ammo!? LoL
