war is not funny in that way.

i tried to battle with thargoids. and entering system. the engins and systems directly shutdown by thargoids and ship explode. that makes no fun to fight against the thargoids. and i hat 4 enymies directly. dear

Fd team. play the war stuff by urself. and have fun. but i think a legacy server with ody includes is badly missing. i do not like the war stuff with dead systems after all. it is boring

elite was dangoures before update 14. but no it is useless . or uninteresting.

New commanders (correct me if I am wrong) often die to thargoid interdictions. Here is an advice for you that may help:

-1.
Before you enter supercruise or jump to hyperspace, you have to be in FAOFF already.
I added this step based on a later post (see below) once I understood what happened to you. Your modules shut down after interdiction when you re-entered normal space, but not because of a shutdown field from the goids, this just happens in thargoid interdictions. You should have your capacitors fully charged and your pips (SYS/ENG/WEP) set to 3/3/0 or 420 or 240. All ships can perma boost with 4 pips to ENG, the kraits can on 2 pips, FSL/Mamba on 3 pips, small ships on 4 pips only. The reason you want your SYS fully charged is because if goids activate shutdown field and you keep pressing your shutdown field neutralizer, it will drain your capacitor very quickly.

0. Fly a ship that boosts over 525m/s

1. Submit to interdictionbin SC (throttle down to zero speed in supercruise). This will allow you to charge your FSD quicker.

2. Make sure your pips are 420 or 330 or 240 (SYS/ENG/WEP)

3a If you were in FAOFF prior to jumping
After interdiction you should be drifting in a random direction slowly spinning. Don't panic and start boosting immediately, The radar (whole cockpit) will flash a couple times as your ship boots up, you are cold at this point (if you have no hull you may still die cannot be helped). Try to asses (aside from how you are spinning) where the goids are. It is possible that you have to set FAON just for a moment to align the nose of your ship away from goids then set FAOFF again and boost. It is not necessary to set FAON to align your ship so that you are pointing away from the goids. But it is possible that as you are spinning, your nose may not ever point in the direction away from the goids.
Note that setting FAON around goids carries its own risk because your ship may (automatically) reduce its speed as it aligns toward the direction you were pointing at the moment you set FAON. If at that point you are hit with a shutdown field, you would drift at a low speed. You can also just boost when you are not pointing towards the goids.

3b If you were not in FAOFF prior to jumping.
Boost away and set flight assist off immediately after interdiction. If the goids activate their shutdown field and you are too slow to charge your shutdown field neutralizer 2-3 seconds after the warning on the screen 'ALERT: ENERGY SURGE DETECTED '( keep charging the SFN until the green wave passed thru you. Did you even fit one in utility slot and put 4 pips to SYS ?) then start boosting away from them in FAOFF. This way while your ship reboots, you will be floating in space fast with low thermal signature hence they will have a hard time shooting you down

4. Set FAON (if you must) charge your FSD and escape

Note to noobs:

Thargoids are about the only dangerous opponents in this Game.
Don't jump unprepared into a warzone.
Prepare your ship, learn the rules of engagement, and be prepared to run.

i have this field neutralizer, it looks to that he not work. or it is to late active, i was not in a warzone. only in system on the way to an outpost. to refill fuel

Entering Thargoid territory is a pretty dangerous endeavor, if one is not equipped to deal with being hypderdicted or interdicted it would be best to plot a route aound those systems. Having said that, having a heatsink launcher and popping one off immediately after submitting to a Thargoid interdiction is a good start, I believe.

When the fun stops, stops.

A lot of people are doing that.

Those Thargoid invaded systems are all warzone now. You're not safe there. Steer clear of this whole region if it's too difficult for you.

I need to make a correction to the above. I forgot about this because I fly exclusively in FAOFF.

Step '-1', the step before '0':
Before you enter supercruise or jump to hyperspace, you have to be in FAOFF already.

I just got hyperdicted by goid when jumping into system HIP 23716 from a neighbor. The hyperspace conduit became 'unstable' and I was dropped back into the source system with modules shut down.

Since I was already in FAOFF I just floated away, but had I been in FAON I may have slowed down to the speed I had before the jump, which could even be zero (if throttle was set to zero before jump and you boost right before jump).

So I recommend that prior to jump you align in the direction you want in FAON. Then toggle FAOFF, and jump to SC or hyperspace.

Expedient boost + FA-off is a good survival strategy if you can't time the shutdown field neutraliser quite right (or don't have one). You may not have full control of how you drift, but as long as you drift fast, survival chances go way up!

Also, if you can ensure your ship runs as cold as possible, the goids may lose interest.

:D S

I find that a fast cold ship with heatsinks and boost (possibly a small shield too) makes it super safe to run cargo or passengers out of the war zone. In fact I don't think I've encountered the shutdown field when inter/superdicted, and in any case on no occasion have I come out of SC with all my modules disabled, can that really happen?

Am considering taking a T-9 in to check if all you really need is boost and some heatsinks, so far I've only taken fast ships in.
