We are winning, the tide has turned HIP 23716

That's my question. Are we wining? the people fighting Thargoids but are unable to complete Cz because they are bugged/transparent/un-shootables?. Or the commanders have choosen fight this war through combat, are we wasting time/effort? (We cannot win Cz!)
 
Looks like we are probably going to 'win' in HIP 23716 this week now, solid progress over the weekend. Will be interesting to see what the effect in the system is next week.
 
The refugee run is a bit of a bus route, but then it needs to be.
I've just set up a new clipper (still grinding for a cutter) to run cargo but without a functioning commodity market we're down to emergency supply orders.
I brought my carrier up so I can stock it with the commodities that come up and just run back and forth with the orders.

I play music in the background, but it's tedious as hell after a couple of hours (spent most of yesterday evening on it as well). The only thing that livens things up a bit is the hyperdictions and interdictions. On one occasion I was interdicted in system three times in a row. Still, with plenty of heatsinks and permaboost, even that gets a little monotonous... :p

I may have a look at cargo runs as well, just to mix things up though.
 
I wouldn't worry about it, folks have kicked off so much about it being hard that when the new AX weapons are released you will be able to single handedly rescue an entire system with 2 class 1 hardpoints on a shieldless Cobra ........... during your tea break.

Actually, I might kit it out for Maelstrom diving, and see what happens...other than the obvious exploding bit.
 
I do 3 at the moment, go to CZ kill Scouts til Interceptor turns up (I am not gud enuf for them yet) then, either go to SC and come back for more scouts or, go to station to get Wounded (occupied escape pods) missions, 5-12 each mission (up to 14 missions), then after delivering them to the rescue ship, go and do a hauling CG to get next weeks Enhanced AX and make sure that completes.

A question about "complete missions", would it be better to go for quantity of missions (less passengers but more separate missions) or quality (80 passengers)?
 
Yesterday it was little bit better in hip 23716. I was able to find multiple combat zones working and it didnt bug when hydra died so we even finished those zones.

Got 430M credit bonds which is a lot better than any other day.

Nobody knows, When I was running in the Orca she held 80 passengers and 16 tonnes cargo so did a bit of calculator work to get as many missions whilst filling the space available.
Whether it was worth the effort I haven't a clue.
Did get lots of mats and max rep with the factions very quick though. I had to visit an Encoded and a Manufactured trader to make room for more.

I have a suspicion that the broken CZs actually don't count towards the progress bar, because they're broken, and someone in FD is moving the slider daily so that we will make it. For PR reasons.

It's what I'd do :)

I think it’s mostly individual kills, evacuations and supply missions moving it.

If CZs had a major impact above all others it’d barely move at all due to crippling bugs and glitches.

Or maybe if CZs were not broken, it would be a 1-day win in systems defended by hundreds of players and it would be possible to defend a system by a dedicated small group as well.

I don't think completing CZs can be very important to the calculation because it's so hard anyway with hydras at the end. Destroying Thargoid craft must be the main thing that matters. In solo CZs are not broken but finishing them is virtually impossible. Although, now that I think about it, it can be done because you can now get infinite repairs and refills at the station.
