That’s why I’m saying this is a terrible decision. No one wants another canid, but by taking away the wolf’s Eurasian range, we have been robbed of one of Europe’s most recognisable animals. We should really be compensated what’s been taken away from us - otherwise, we’re just taking animals away from underrepresented continents and giving ourselves a less diverse roster with less in the way of choice.

Leaf answered on the comments that he had a renaming mod, so no need to worry about the change (but I still wish they renamed it and gave us the Eurasian wolf too).
Seconded. That’s going to limit appropriate foliage and continental correctness. Its the Himalayan Brown Bear all over again.

No one surely is not true. I would really welcome the Bush Dog to the game and there are quite a few fans of the Tanuki around here. I could imagine a Zoo classic like the Bat-Eared-Fox would be okay for most people, too.
I really, really don't want another canine for the next 2 years at the very least. Other groups deserve more attention.
I mean that is you and your opinion is all your right but I just wanted to point out that the claim "no one wants" is not the case.
And I really do not care about having too much of this or that. The species I prefer over others have to be interesting to me. And the Bush Dog just looks so special that it would be a very cool addition in my opinion.

Hyenas are more related to cats than dogs, but I agree with the general notion.
In general, we could chill a bit with the carnivorans.
Its not even carnivorans, just dog snd cat fatigue, but in general most carnivorans add something unique and are quite fun to build for.
While i agree on no more dogs being preferable, mustelids, viverrids and actually small cats are still quite welcome in my book.
Animals like the common gennet, ocelot, pallas cat, yellow mongoose, owstons palm civit and most importantly a marten still have a place in the game to fill.
+ while theres often carnivoran slander, in the end they still top most peoples wishlist so while a vocal minority is disappointed by to many, its seems like many other especally less hardcore animal nerds would be disappointed by a pack without them.

Not as bad as the Bactrian Camel though, how many other base game animals are completely wrongly sized at this point
