I just installed the new enhanced AX MCs and used them last night. The difference in combat effectiveness against Thargoid scouts was very noticeable for me.

Full disclosure: Prior to Update 14, my AX activity and experience was very limited... it was probably <5% of my activities.

Hopefully the AX scanner gets a serious buff to range and/or scan time. Prior to update 14, the AX scanner was a challenge to effectively operate, given the speed and agility of the interceptors and their ability to move outside the scanner range. Now, with them taking an instantly hostile posture, it's almost impossible to use it without receiving an enormous amount of damage.

Can any one remind me why we need EAX Scanner when all we are doing is - - - - KILL EM ALL!!
Yeh, I don’t really get it either … I mean, I can SEE the hearts with my own eyes so it shouldn’t require a 20 second scan from 500m for an AI to also recognise what the damn things are …

Is that EAX MC generally should be trailing?
(Only doing Scout kills then running like Sir Robin when other types turn up, going quickly to Wakata to pick up Passengers nd Escape pods and run the gauntlet to T Tor)
I haven't even seen what the other types are as both my Shield and Hull go down in secs and have to scarper not look/scan.

No. If you can target your target, leading is the way.

However if you cannot scan the interceptor to be able to use target-subsystem to target the hearts, then you definitely need to use trailing so you can superimpose the reticle over the hearts after they're exerted

OK. Even though I'm not up to facing Interceptors (yet), but maybe I will get there due to all this.

The new Enhanced AX weapons are available from ANY Rescue Megaship (Blue/Green on the Galaxy Map) as they are released, some are available now, others will be released on the Thursday AFTER any CG's completed by Thursday (if that makes sense).
Monetary rewards are available from the place delivering the items to or you can wait 2 weeks and the balance will be transferred to you where ever you are.
 
That seems to indeed be the case. I got to start participating just now (busy in real life, meh...), and I purchased 1.3M worth if gallium and sold it at Tietjen Ring and got only about 330k profit. In past CGs that much material would have given at least 1-2M profit.

Gives less of an incentive to contribute large amounts...
I noticed that if I buy basic medicines and sell them in one of those rescue megaship, I get well over a million Cr of profit per trip. That's quite profitable.

Should I feel morally corrupt because of profiting from a war?

Well, at least I'm transporting medicine for those in need, so that should quiet down my conscience. The credits are just a nice little extra on the side. It's a win-win for everybody.

Do a little of each, I am no fighter and no real need for credits so I am both supplying rescue ships and CG stations with their needed supplies.

I shall let others use the Enhanced Weapons that I help unlock:)

*EDIT: available for everyone at tech brokers (mats unlock) immediately afterwards, of course.

Ha! It shouldn't be displayed, I will fix that. Hard to say about its availability otherwise. It appeared somewhere in my missing module idents checks and that's why I have added it (and it was quite some time ago), but no idea if and when it may be in the game "for real" (or what the module parameters are). :)

It was there a very short time but but got removed.
