Is Elite Dangerous a dead game? I compared it to some others ...

I'll bet a million dollars I don't have that it's the same people on both ends.
Tolls causing trouble? Never!
Trouble with the Internet, is that sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference between someone who is a troll, and someone who is ignorant.
As a viewer, reading the comments is sort of like swimming with sharks. You can do it, but for the time you invest in doing so, the risk to reward ratio is unattractive at best.

Some people also watch the videos they comment on. Those are the only people I make the videos for. People who comment on the titles, are like people who only read newspaper headlines, or the last page of a book.

Well the only way to sort this out is with FdLs and PAs, Thunderdome style.

It's one of the reasons you will hear that many YouTuber's do not read their comments section.
The ordering of words is important here. To be precise, the thumbnail says: "ELITE IS DEAD" JADED GAMERS
Since people tend to skim, they'll look at the first words, those are the most important. In this case, for the bait, it's "Elite is dead", and not "jaded gamers".
Also, "say" is missing from there. Neither the thumbnail nor the video title write anything about why the "jaded gamers" part is even there. Well, the reason for that could likely be that Obsidian Ant didn't want to make a video / thumbnail titled ""Elite is dead""
However, going with "Jaded gamers say "Elite is dead"" would have made less people click the video.
Video titles are not as bad as people posting on the yootoob with thumbnails that are totally different from the content - i.e. the image is not taken from the video but just to act as clickbait. N.B. I am talking generally, not referencing Ant or anyone else on here.
But then you'd be the last man in a dead world.....Wouldn't that be difficult in a dead game?

You must be a big fan of all the people here who comment on Elite but don't play it.
It is a game forum, for a specific game...
Playing the game doesn't appear to be a requirement.

Why does it have to be jaded gamers? I absolutely loved both MAG and Paragon, and when they both "died", I was very vocal about it, because a favorite game(x2) was removed from my playable library.
The interesting thing with this type of stereotyping is that I've been called both a hater / "ex boyfriend" and a white knight in various social arenas focused on Elite, often in the same week! Granted, there are some who actually earn such badges, but those folk rarely get confused for being both.
Regarding the OP of whether ED is dead or not, when compared to my aforementioned games, it is obviously very much alive and well, even if I'm not personally playing it anymore. As for the future of the game, who knows?
But I do understand why people make the argument "Elite is dead", because they confuse the game being dead to them as being dead for all (heck, I've likely done that myself from time-to-time). Elite is also unique in that you can have thousands of players on at the same time and yet the game feels totally empty. Oh, and the console players, they might actually be right to say "Elite is dead", at least from a development point-of-view. And they might be jaded, too, though in their case I'd argue Elite being dead was likely the cause and being jaded the resulting effect rather than vice-versa.
yeah I don't get that one. I might be passionate about a game, but when it is dead to me, why should I waste time and energy complaining and moaning about it, trying to convince others that it's dead for them, too, and possibly spoiling it for those who still like and play it?
I said it before: The moment Elite doesn't give me anything anymore I turn around and walk away, and be quiet about it. Life is too short for anything else, and I have no time for hanging around female-canine-ing about something I don't like anymore.
