What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I was playing and suddenly my laptop died. It doesn't turn on again 😭😭
Oh no that's awful! There is only one simple option (which doesn't require opening up the laptop) to possibly rescue it. Hold down the power button for several minutes (plugged into the charger) and hope you see some lights flash, let go of the power button then press it again. If that doesn't make it start again you may have to either open up the laptop or take it to a computer shop

I'll take it to the store, hopefully they will fix it

Found some picnic benches from the workshop so made a nice picnic area

So, for some reason I was going through the old DLC launches (don't ask me why because I'm not entirely sure myself) and I found the following:

Swjos, you got all 3!!!

And man, König, we got the raccoon after all. What a rebellion...
Went back to see what plants @Captain Callum recommended for my ASCO habitat and stumbled across this quote from you, DarthQuell. Funny, I was treated exceptionally well by Frontier, too.

So yeah, currently trying to polish the Otter habitat in Moonstone. My PZ creativity isn't the best at the moment, but I'm trying to get back into the game.

heres a different way of adding peafowl to zoos, many real zoos feature free roaming peafowl so i went and figured out a way to make peafowl travel along the guest areas in several locations throughout the zoo

Is it possible to learn this power?

Thx Swo, you inspired me to finally finish of my otter habitat. Im personally very pleased with it, eventhough the indoor could use a bit more work, but for now im happy.

My goodness, absolutely love it, König! Stunning work!

I finished the little keeper hut near the Otter habitat. Planning to hop into Unity later this evening and build a Fennec indoor enclosure.
Inspiration here, inspiration there, inspiration everywhere

Pretty simple, add the low habitat wooden gate in a thick foliage area so it isn't too noticeable, null barrier stretched along a large area only following guest areas. I have 2 peafowl per area, they will stay close to the habitat gate so place it in a plaza or somewhere where you want the peafowl to roam

I have several habitats for freeroaming , do not cover your entire zoo in one area since this will cause performance issues

Yesterday I built a pair of habitats for the common wombat and Tasmanian devil. It was a fairly quick and simple build, and while I think the enclosures turned out fine I couldn't help but feel somewhat dissatisfied with them. After all, the wombat is my favourite animal in the game and the devil my most wanted, so I felt their habitats should be a bit more interesting. Today, I ended up deleting what I had done and started again.

Cleland Wildlife Park and Gorge Wildlife Park, two of my local zoos, both have wombat shelters that allow you to watch them through one-way glass as they sleep in their faux burrows, and so I thought that'd be a cool idea to integrate here for both the wombats and the devils. This design eventually evolved into a more extravagant viewing area that unexpectedly incorporated a veranda as well as several elements from the platypus habitat. Thankfully the hitbox gods had mercy on me today and the shelters ended up fully functional, at least for the wombat (can't test for the devil yet for obvious reasons).

With the Tasmanian devil habitat, I decided to make it look as if the zoo was still in the process of renovating a previous habitat for an expected batch of devils that would be coming in the future, hence the wheelbarrow and waste container and whatnot. Just a fun bit of lore building while waiting for them to finally make their PZ debut.

The wombat habitat actually turned out to be my favourite of the two. I'm happy to finally integrate them into a larger zoo given I've only done a one-off build for them before!
