It will be, just as PES is a thing now.
It's really funny to read here some of you glossing about how PES is a problem with all that stuff laying around while 2 years ago you were just saying that CIG would never be able to do it 😁
Something that is released broken, such as PES and many other SC "features", can not be counted as done I am afraid, it is just crappy and broken. Claiming something fundamentally broken is done is like claiming that the Theranos Edison used for the Walgreen stores tests could actually test blood.

You are correct, it's alpha and buggy, nothing can be tagged 'done' as long as bugs are there.
But as the buggy version is already hell of fun to play, I don't care 🥰
It's a real pleasure to just find the objects you placed inside your ship at the same place each time you relog in your ship and for now, this part of PES works well for me and I love it. It's a huge step for the game and a good sign for what is coming.

That was a classic: So first you claim a feature of SC is done, but when it is pointed out that it is crappy and broken then you corrected yourself to say that it is not really done but that it is alpha. There are plenty of released and done games out there, and all have their share of bugs. The problem with SC is that its level of bugs and brokenness is several orders of magnitude larger than most games.

The problem with that "alpha" response aswell (other than the obvious classic goal post moving exercise we see often done by SC fans) is that this project has been in alpha or pre alpha or whatever you prefer to call it for over 10 years, and has spent over half a billion USD to get to the current crappy, buggy and broken state. It´s a world record. Only SC has managed to get such a long alpha and spend so much money for such a broken product. This indicates that SC is very different from regular alphas in that its development and management of it is significantly bad, crappy and broken.

As for you enjoying it I believe we have discussed that also very often. Plenty of people out there enjoying crappy games. Nothing wrong with that.

It might be, just as pvp slider isn't a thing now.
It's really funny to read here some of you glossing about how pvp slider isn't a problem with all that optional griefing laying around while 8 years ago you were just saying that CIG would definitely be able to do it 😁

I've said "it's here", not done. How can I say it's done as almost everything in SC is tier x and with bugs ?

For the rest of your text, 1 or 10 years of alpha is still alpha. Complex system needs more time than simplier ones, you perfectly know it. Starfield is in alpha since 10 years and nobody can tell you the level of bugs they have now. Perhaps they try to let you climb ladders since 4 years and will abandon the feature at release, you will not know. And they are only making a solo game evolution of Skyrim with a lot less complexities to manage. GTA6 is also a decade old and I don't hear you saying it's too long for an alpha (with an engine and dev teams much more in tune with their needs from the beginning than what CIG had at start).

You actually said CIG has been able to do it, i.e. done :

"It will be, just as PES is a thing now... 2 years ago you were just saying that CIG would never be able to do it 😁"

There are alphas and alphas. This alpha is quite different to others in that it has been stuck without delivering a single product in gold or even going to beta for 12+ years and 550 millions wasted. It is a likely indicative of technical and management problems that cant seem to be resolved in any reasonable manner.

PES, ship interior, mining, salvaging, dogfight, FPS, physical cargo, planet tech, cloud tech, etc = out of your XXXXXX list

Every patch CIG release your "ad infinitum" list is reduced.

Replication Layer separation, Salvage Tier 1, cloud tech v4, a brand new skill system (involving new tiers of ability for most actions & animations) where before there was none...

Somehow the list never gets any smaller. And none of it is ever done.

Foreveralpha...

Complex systems would benefit from being designed first.

Starfield is in alpha since 10 years and nobody can tell you the level of bugs they have now. Closed alpha or non-existent alpha? I'm still working on my be-a-millionaire alpha. It's not going well.
