Call for assistance -- Subject D-2 missing and in danger -- Ngaruayanka system

Talking to Wych Hunt, a player initiative that forced them out and was mentioned in GalNet ;)

The systems you're looking for are Maia, Merope, Qarato, afaik. Qarato is very close to where SEO, not D-2, was spying around, and close to Mbooni, a stronghold of Azimuth. There is also Wandrama where they tried to expand but were defeated in a community goal.

All those places were checked already, of course (I didn't check T-Tauri this time, because I'm surveying it once a week anyway). Sorry to disappoint you, but as expected, the characters talk about things that do not exist in the game for us to witness.
Wandrama is not too far from a maelstrom

That leaves 2/4 who went on from Shangdi. What did those other 2 find? Did they find anything? What was their fates?
I’m gonna go and guess nothing, because for the sake of thoroughness I went into Main, EGM 95 and Alectrona, where there was not so much as a peep of anything interesting or out of the ordinary with no “Other” POIs and all of the human ones accounted for with the stupid Odyssey clutter and (largely) useless space installations.

Also, why do people still keep calling her D-2? It’s a person. With a name. And we have one for her too.

Oh and also also, I’m not inclined to believe the new interceptor theory for the lack of caustic residues anywhere. Nor do I believe the Thargoids would bother sending a mothership or an equivalent thereof after one ship. And since there are no non-capital human weapons with this destructive power that I’m aware of, which also likely wouldn’t have warranted the response that we see from the pilot, I’m holding my bets on Guardian Construct.

(Back to waiting for the godhand to put the stuff about Nemesis actually into the game.)

My two coinsin here, main and alectrona has settlements which calls seoks engineering and seoks biomechanical.

Seoks engineering is on planet 5E in Alectrona and seok biological side is on planet main 3 b

It’s just an idea perhaps some of you guys could work with this

Something is bothering me since some time now : We get the log from exploded ship, saying "what's that !?". Why should the message come from Seo Jin-Ae and not the pilot in the exploded ship ?

Not sure why people would think it's coming from Seo Jin-Ae at all.
You should come across that ship, right after finding a previous log from the pursuers talking about searching systems.
The next system you go to is one that the pursuers were searching, and you find, the blown up ship with that message.
If Seo is on the run, the pursuers are following her, and CMDRs are following the pursuers, then it would only make sense that you come across the fate of a pursuer, not Seo.
And I've mentioned before, Seo has too much plot-armor to have just been deleted right there and end of mission, no finding Salvation, no Guardian mind-tank device, etc. etc.
FDev want this to play out, so it will.

Given some of the thematics around Seo:
  • Finding stuff in stations where Azimuth used to be; and
  • Things around Salvation not actually dying

... i wonder if there's something new to discover in either of those places. I doubt it, but curious anyway... i feel far too little is coming from or focused around HIP22460 post-boom... it's a little suspicious.

Not sure if this was picked up on yet, and I'm assuming it's fruitless but worth a shot:
Seo told Tanner to rendezvous at Shangdi.
Why Shandgi? And I realized Azimuth Biotech has assets nearby in LHS 1163, like the Glorious Prospect currently.
Been looking in system for a few minutes, but nothing of note it seems.
(There's also the Prospect's Deep owned by Azimuth Biotech, in the Mbooni system just near LHS1163 and it's permit locked. Any CMDRs with the Mbooni permit could check things out there.)

I did check Mbooni and a few other historical locations, as well as ~40 systems around Ankaa. Only interesting thing I found was the NPC dialogue at a threat 4 degraded emissions with a meta alloy present, which I posted in the other Seo thread.
Seems there is no next big clue out there, but I still think it's wise to keep the eyes open for signal sources and NPC chatter. Could be the small details we need.

This permit is currently acquired by achieving allied status with Azimuth Biotech(formerly Taurus), and completing the a permit issuance mission from the Glorious Prospect megaship in nearby system LHS 1163

Was in Mbooni on Thursday, can’t say I saw anything out of the ordinary - but I also didn’t poke around much.

If any concerns arise about how I obtained said permit, it’s from before we learned exactly what we were dealing with.

You obtain the permit by doing this

This permit is currently acquired by achieving allied status with Azimuth Biotech(formerly Taurus), and completing the a permit issuance mission from the Glorious Prospect megaship in nearby system LHS 1163

.. didn’t I say I already have it?

I was also making something of a joking reference to Azimuth’s past with that. I got the permit from doing one of those things that they asked of people in the leadup to the Proteus Wave’s construction.

The results of my testing are inconclusive. The mantis has yet to respond, although it's possible that this is because she's a sociopath.
Might have decided to ignore you simply because that is the same thing they tell their males,
just before they eat them.

By what they were blown to shreds, now that’s a good question. My bets are either Guardian Construct or the less likely alternative - at hand of lack of caustic residue and cloud - of a new Interceptor type.
Up until today, no one even knows what happened to the Guardian AI construct that pushed the Thargoids out of town (and probably back to the COL 70 Sector???). It WOULD be an interesting development if the Guardian AI suddenly showed up. Might as well since we're already living in interesting times.
