So... it may be an animal pack, right?
Well, color me shocked. They're definitely playing with our expectations, and I don't mind.
I'd most like to see something that's actually strongly associated with walkthrough aviaries as a standalone species in real zoos - lorikeets or budgies are my top choices. As much as I want to see toucans or macaws, I just don't associate them with single-species walkthrough exhibits. Toucans exist in standalone or mixed walkthrough aviaries, while macaws are in one of those or the dreaded "bird on a stick" setup.

It can still be both. Last year there were no difference in the time between announcement and release between the two pack types.
Either that or if it contains something that could spoil the DLC (like the brachiation frames with conservation pack) they might wait until after the DLC announcement.
May be, may not be. I believe they've also announced scenery packs with this much of a delay before? And of course, for as strong as the Easter correlation is, there's no hard guarantee that the pack will even come out that week.
That said, I'm hoping for an animal pack. I'm hoping we never see another scenery pack again. I get why people like and want them, but I'll gladly sacrifice the scenery for three more animals every single time.
Either an animal pack or a scenery pack that, like Twilight/Conservation, devotes full days to its new scenery on social media.

For a walkthrough aviary bird (which I think is very likely) it's perfect for lorikeets and budgies.
If you mean a proper aviary bird my first choice would be a big, charismatic raptor, like the Andean condor.
And it ends up teasing a "western frontiers" pack with a coyote, a peccary, an opposum, and a quail, and the feathers only foreshadowed the native american scenery
Eh, the condor can already fit in the normal exhibit. No need for a WE or an aviary.
I don't know what to expect, in December I didn't expect a armadillo, also it could really be anything.

For peccary I would buy it, but please don't. I already prefer it without feathers
