Imagine how great that could’ve been. Gladly trade out the Dhole, P. Monkey and the not-Malayan Tapir for scenery and added a New World Pirimate, Coatimundi and Tree Kangaroo or another New world primate or brazilian porcupine in the final spot

it could be nice oddball in some kind of Drylands or Highlands pack among with Dromadery, baboon and porcupine.

This is belated due to the sheer amount of posts pouring through, but: thankfully no, as it's not a Buddha. It's a pig-headed dvārapāla (a form of Southeast Asian gate guardian statue, sometimes with monstrous features). The head, while obviously tied to the red river hog, is shaped in a way reminiscent of Balinese boar Barong masks.
I would not have known this without having history people with the right cultural background to ask, though, so I'm glad for being able to incidentally note this.

Regarding the decorations, I highly doubt we'll get official updates, but if we are to get a ThemeMaker's toolkit, I'd love it if somebody would make "complete" sets for every theme. Basically, have statues and signs that represent every single animal.
My idea is that, let's say I wanna build a zoo in the Australian theme. I would like an Australian style statue for my emus and also for my red foxes...
Do y'all understand what I mean? Have every theme have a sign and statue for every animal in the game for consistency

Yeah me too! I love Gargoyles and would love to have some of the other animals. Also, the base game theme statues of a lot of the newer animals would be wonderful! Particularly the Classic Theme! Lastly the mech-a-roo! We NEED other Mech-animals!

It's about the hippos and rhinos still fighting even though just now the hippo got interspecies enrichment from the RRH.
Let us build consistent safari habitats.
Hippos and White Rhinos should not fight
Currently they can't be held together. I tried recreating my local Safari zoo, and was dissapointed to discover they will fight. Here is a picture of all animals together at the zoo: Hippos in general work well in Safari habitats with all animals ingame, so I don't understand why the rhinos...
