Spring dlc Speculation 2023

Lar gibbon and fossa are perfect, the river hog too, the monitor......well...could be better but definitely a good filler or for tropical houses. Just the sloth as exhibit is disappointing, because it's massively limiting the opportunities to build sloth houses

My initial thoughts. Love the lar gibbon, my favorite species. I think its inclusion is warranted. Red river hog is probably my favorite, it looks great! I am definitely happy with the Asian water monitor too. Fossa is also super great and definitely considered essential to me. The sloth is the biggest letdown for me, but it's not even that disappointing. I wish they were habitat animals (I know they'll work better this way, just less creativity with South American domes and stuff), and I wish they two-toed for realism's sake, but a sloth is a sloth so I'll take it. I'm honestly hoping for a two-toed sloth in the future too. I will not lie, I do think this should have definitely been an animal pack, but it's definitely one of the best ways they could go regarding a Tropical scenery pack. The Southeast Asian scenery looks great! Definitely building an Asian dome when we get this pack!

Jeez guys, I didn't expect so much negativity. I think this pack looks great!
Yeah, totally. The biggest complaints are lack of SA animals (but we're gonna get more in the future, I know it), sloth is WE (but it was coming. I mean, c'mon, it would be weird for them to be like the in-game koalas), and the monitor lizard (but, we got another habitat reptile that's NOT a crocodilian)

Honestly, this is probably one of the coolest packs

How worthless are birds and monkeys in frontier eyes?
I remember when Twilight pack came out I said "the anti bird bias is so bad we got flying mammals before flying birds" and I got a lot of "ummm akshually they're clearly working towards birds with this"

2 packs later still no birds. And this shows that out expectations were too high after butterflies and that multiple exhibit species per pack is more than likely a one time thing.

A tad disappointed ngl, between the three-toed sloth and two clones (clones that I actually wanted too!)…

This should’ve been an animal pack given the biodiversity of tropical themes. It feels like a filler DLC, probably because they’re busy working on avian birds. A quick easy clone DLC.

But honestly, the quality of this roster is giving me early DLC vibes, where we get some popular picks and then a couple poor choices (thinking back like Dingo, Llama, Arctic Wolf) which are not inherently poor choices by themselves, but are not good picks for a 4 species pack when choices are so limited…

How can you cater for your community's desires (that may diverge) with scenery packs including 5 animals and animal packs 8 ?... they could have easily given us 1 ou 2 extra animal per DLC (both from a technical and commercial point of view). I wouldn't mind paying extra if that was the case.

Great pack! Love the gibon, fossa and the river hog. The sloth is awsome especially because it’s a WE animal. I love that!

Other great thing is: no birds! I hear you think: are you serious? Yes, because I believe the only reason not to include a bird of any kind in this pack is because they work on a aviary pack.

I mean if you decide to do bats and sloths in a WE there is no reason not to do it with birds besides all the ground dwelling options. So a bird pack must be coming one day. I’m pretty sure now.

The sloth as a walkthrough exhibit is understandable. The problem is that it's a three-toed sloth and not a two-toed sloth.

The three-toed sloth is held in 1 zoo outside of its native range. The two-toed is held in hundreds. I think that’s largely why. It’s a largely redundant species in a zoo game. It’s not a ‘zoo’ animal.
