Map of the entire roster by (approximate) animal distribution

I wouldn't mind a sloth as a walkthrough exhibit species. It would be perfect in slow loops, and never needing to make its way to water and food troughs.
But it taking up a spot of an animal that is actually interesting to watch? No.

So an Amazon pack, for me, would mean a small cat species (ocelot, margay, jaguarundi), roseatte spoonbill, a coatimundi species, howler monkey species, spider monkey species, collared peccary, and either the west Indian manatee or a small monkey species, plus the sloth as an exhibit.
Yes, multiple monkeys. South America is in need of them.

I think that the mammals like the sloth and the bat should be in the "habitat map" inside of the exhibit and the butterflies and another future "insects" should be on the exhibit map IMO
I agree that this mostly "feels" right, as sloths and bats do feel like they contribute significantly more to a region's completeness than arthropods or even most herps. But that's ultimately an arbitrary and somewhat subjective stance, and we already had people taking issue when the only WE species we had was the bat and it was included on the main map.

Guys, you think when I'll update my map with habitat ranges overlap I should also included slots and bats then?
I skipped bats at first, but sloth kinda changes my point of view. And oh boy SEA is getting more and more red...

I will go with the majority want, but personally I tend to agree. Ideally we'd make a seperate WE map, but there aren't enough animals for that.

I think the diffetence in my mind is that all the exhibits are terrariums, and butterflies are an exception in that they are limited to butterfly houses (or freerange) in real zoos.

So in my mind the exhibit map would become the terrarium house map (reptile house, bug house...), and the WEs would join the far more versatile habitat animals.

To be clear, I also preferred having the bats on the main map and do for the sloth as well. There were just more than a few vocal critics last time, and I worry that the line may get a bit more blurred with time as more species get added. Like, say we get hummingbirds as our next WE, where should they fall? That’s an easy one to imagine more people being torn on than the current mammal/insect divide we’ve got.

But if it’s a vote, I say add the bat and sloth and just play it by ear going forward.

I think an exception should be made and the sloth should be added to the habitat animal map instead of the exhibit map.
Absolutely agree - walkthrough exhibit mammals the sloth and the bat should be included in the habitat animals map. They feel like they add a substantial amount to the game, and it’d feel wrong to lump the sloth and the bat in with the vivarium animals we have for the exhibits so far.
I do think that the butterflies should stay in the exhibit animal map though. I think the ‘exhibit’ map could become more of a ‘vivariums’esque map in that sense, including reptiles and invertebrates. Whereas the habitat animals map would include ofc all the habitat animals plus WE mammals.
