Plus, it's really only the three-toed sloths that behave the way we think sloths do. For instance, you can't have an iconic character like Flash based on two-toed sloths, which can even pounce on you when triggered. The easiest conclusion to say why the brown Throated is everywhere is because its simply the most common sloth found in the wild so naturally more media is focused on the more abundantly found species. This could also explain why frontier chose the brown Throated over the two toed
I mean, yes, but for many of these, they don't speak Mexico. Does that make sense?California Sealion, Spectacled Caiman, Raccoon, Skunk, Gila Monster, Red Fox, Baird's Tapir. I might have missed some.
I would say Mexico is doing well
But what speaks Mexican will be different from person to person. People in Mexico who got some of these animals as their local wildlife would definitely see them as MexicanI mean, yes, but for many of these, they don't speak Mexico. Does that make sense?
It's like saying the king penguin is technically from SA, but when you think of the king penguin, you think of an area closer to Antarctica.
In the case of Mexico, the only 3 in that list that I would consider Mexican are the gila monster (maybe), the Baird's tapir, and the raccoon (Cozumel raccoon)
What about the Pronghorn and Striped Skunk? They both live in Northern Mexico! That alone should score some points actually. Mexico seems to sorta lack species, relatively I mean...
We have:
That isn't much, to be honest
- Nine-banded armadillo
- "Timber wolf" (I personally don't count it)
- Puma
- Jaguar
- Brown throated sloth
- Mexican tarantula
- Axolotl
I would definitely include the sea lion in there.I mean, yes, but for many of these, they don't speak Mexico. Does that make sense?

As someone who has gone to Mexico almost every year, sometimes multiple times a year, yes and no, the sloth itself feels like Yucatan peninsulaBut what speaks Mexican will be different from person to person. And with that point of view, does the sloth feel Mexican?
There's a good mix of good and new but still no new trees found. Background features kapok tree, Bengal bamboo and a cecropia tree. We got new ferns and the existing variegated fern next to the statuesOkay but that new plant behind the sculpture! Also loving the new ferns!! So pretty. And is that new bamboo? Maybe? Not too sure on that one.
Edit: also to me that looks like a new palm on the left!
Too me American is gators and black bears but to others up north and west it’s wolves bison or coyotes and pronghorns. The countries are just to bigWhat feels mexican? Well thats a very open ended question, what animal feels american ? Every answer will contain a very different set of animals what one may believe represents the region better
Could trees perhaps be part of the free update? Sometimes they do split them up, don't they? There's a good mix of good and new but still no new trees found. Background features kapok tree, Bengal bamboo and a cecropia tree. We got new ferns and the existing variegated fern next to the statues
Yeah more recently trees have been part of the free update rather than the dlc pack, the confusing one is the cecropia tree ( tree right of the bamboo) is from the south American pack so we may be looking at a new treeCould trees perhaps be part of the free update? remember silk oak and red wood trees? those came with the free update so did the bald cypressCould trees perhaps be part of the free update? Sometimes they do split them up, don't they?
usually they refrain from posting screenshots containing props from previous DLC'sYeah more recently trees have been part of the free update rather than the dlc pack, the confusing one is the cecropia tree ( tree right of the bamboo) is from the south American pack so we may be looking at a new tree
Yeah I was told that the other dayusually they refrain from posting screenshots containing props from previous DLC's
After your post I looked back at the image and was 100% convinced it's a cecropia tree. However, looking at the Wiki, it appears that the orientation of the leaves is more horizontal, whereas this image shows leaves pointed in more different directions. Also, the cecropia branches seem to go either horizontally or up, while some in this plant are going down. So, it may be a new plant from the free update after all.Yeah more recently trees have been part of the free update rather than the dlc pack, the confusing one is the cecropia tree ( tree right of the bamboo) is from the south American pack so we may be looking at a new tree
This makes me want more Sulawesi animals. I would die for a mini-pack with Sulawesi crested macaque, lowland anoa and sulawesi bear cuscus. Hope we will get at least one of them in a future DLC.So, I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but while I was looking for interesting places to visit in Indonesia I discovered something pretty cool. I was already pleasantly surprised by how accurately Planet Zoo themes have represented specific cultures since the Europe pack (such a contrast with the generic temple ruin pieces from South America), but today I realised that the traditional Indonesian houses we see are representative of a very specific and really interesting area. The amount of detail shown in the image leaves no doubt that they took Tana Toraja as an inspiration. This is a district in Sulawesi (the island where babirusa are from) which has a really interesting culture that is famous for its funeral rites.
