I think you might be confused. You are linking to Counter Strike when you are talking about money laundering. While popular and fun, Star Citizen is no where near as popular.
And I agree, we should not trust the funding tracker. non audited and all. No one should mention it and anyone who says "haha sc has spent half a billion dollars and look how buggy it is" should be shouted down by everyone. We all know there is no way people have pledged $500 million. Patently ridiculous and anyone who believes that is a fool!
Money laundering is money laundering, wherever there is an opportunity it may indeed happen, especially if other popular avenues as CS GO are more heavily controlled. Launderers will naturally veer to less popular but also less controlled ones. You also seem to have ignored the round tripping avenue though.
As for the 500 spent vs earned, I do not really see the issue in the critiques. The record money funding in the tracker has been unilaterally stated by CIG, never verified by anyone else. So it is just fair to confront CIG with their claim and both a) point out what a crappy thing they have done with the funds they claim to have allegedly received AND b) also to challenge their funding claim in the first place precisely because of the crappy results. These two critiques are not contradictory and rather support each other in showing CIG´s (and fans) cattle biowaste claims
