Has anyone tried Point Defence turrets for destroying the glaive missiles? Does that work, or is it just ECMs that we need?
You know they melt (integrity rapidly reduces to zero) guardian weapons, right?I imagine they'd die fast to 6x LR shards as well.
I'm actually working on unlocking the LR shards now so I can try this. All interceptors can just be ran away from but I'd like to be able to murder cyclopse and glaive targets if they interdict me.
It was a human controlled system about 5 LY from a Thargoid controlled system according to the galaxy map. Maybe I just caught them in the act of moving on with a Monday.Which systems were you jumping to and from exactly?
It does sound like a bug, unless this is some undocumented intentional change. But I've not seen nor heard anything about Thargoids attacking in Human Controlled systems, and I've been jumping back and forth between Maelstroms clearing Invasions for several days concurrently since Update 15.1
Or dedicated Thargoid hunter ships builds. I'm not sure that I can get my Krait Mk II for dedicated AX planetary combat CZs or my Clipper for gathgering thargoid materiasls even close to a Malestrum at this moment.Also, better not fly paper planes near Thargoid space.

You can still purpose build your ships any way you like; just be aware to purpose build your ship correctly for the war zone. Here, you have to reserve some of your build capacity for protection, or you die. You don't drive a Fiat 500 into a war zone in real life for a reason.

I have. I was jumping to Lovaroju, having recovered after Thargoid invasion. My hull was already bit battered by caustic effects after leaving the Maelstrom system where I was getting the mats for my Pulse wotsit. They weren't Glaives though, I want to say a couple of Hydras though I wasn't at any point intending to stop and find out but they were tagging me quite a bit and it was pretty touch and go getting out of there in one piece.I have yet to be hyperdicted when jumping fromnon-infested system to non-infested system. I suspect user/routing error.
The anti-guardian field is active as soon as they spawn in. With shards you might be able to empty a full magazine once (if they don't malfunction) but they'll likely be 0% before you can do it a second time. Except that Glaives have a Guardian Degeneration Field (like Maelstrom systems) and all Guardian modules suffer 1-2% damage / second. Your Mod Shards will be dead within 60 seconds at best. You have that time to kill the Glaive, unless you have Human AX weapons too.I've killed two hunters (and one) and I'm a novice at AX combat and I was in an unoptimised ship (granted, it was an engineered Corvette but still in no way optimised for proper AX combat). They are hellish to escape from but killing them is easier than the stronger interceptors (no hearts to exert I guess). I did it with just AX gimbled MCs but I imagine they'd die fast to 6x LR shards as well.
