Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

One of the least toxic communities out there.

LOL... ok, go on their forums and criticize something about the game, then come back and say its one of the least toxic communities out there.

j3pt et al. might be somewhat delusional, but they are not toxic. generally respectful and what not.

in game chat is nearly always friendly and pleasant, people helping each other out etc.

the only time i really see it get all that toxic is when some goober like me blows someone up "for no reason".

Yup, even after I repeatedly melted Jorunn and a few of his C3PO suit wearing Yacht club sycophants with my Prospector's mining laser as they minced gaily around on the deck of his 890J...he didn't even remove me from his friends list

Just looking at Star Wars Outlaws and thinking how the faithful are deflecting Starfield because its not multiplayer, and here we go, a multiplayer space game, based on an incredibly popular franchise, with ship interiors, etc., and i wonder how they are going to cope when that one comes out.

My only reservation about it is that its Ubisoft, and i really don't like giving Ubisoft money.

Outlaws isn't multiplayer...from the way it looks and judging from what I've seen, it'll be a story driven single player experience, much like Assassin's Creed set in the Star Wars universe 🤷‍♂️

For sure, it'll make the muppet Roberts and Sqn 404 look more of a joke than they already are...2 very promising story driven and open world space games released on multiple platforms less than a year apart whilst the Magnum Opus to save PC gaming festers along in $500m neverland for another 2 years plus :)

Doh! Don't know why, i got the impression it was going to be multiplayer.

I consider "strategic view" to be a form of cheating :)
Only in racing games :D

...which reminds me, F1-23 is free with 3 days early access on EA play pro from this morning, I'll have a blast at that whilst I'm waiting for a space game to appear :)

Yeah, guess i mixed it up with those rumours.

Still, sooner or later, someone is going to do it.... and SC still won't be released :p
Just as an aside...if you really dislike giving Ubisoft the price of a game...Outlaws looks like it'll be another day one release on Gamepass Ultimate (TBC)...trading one corporate demon for another, I know...but still, the gamepass sub is way cheaper than buying the game... with the added benefit of having day one access to Starfield as well.

Sign up for $1 plus 5 months at $10 (as an example) is still $10 cheaper than buying any single game that you may or may not like after you buy it :)

So, we have no idea what's going on with SQ42. But it's interesting to see things like this going on in Manchester:

From intern to Senior Level Designer in under 3 years.

So just one guy. And maybe he's great. (And maybe Level Design isn't the most daunting of disciplines...)

But it does align with the 'experience drain & hothousing hell' storyline ;)
Maybe its for Chapter 12. You know how they are with spoilers, maybe it applies to their devs too and hires a whole new team for each chapter of the game just so noone gets a full view of the story.

I'm starting to think you work for Microsoft.
