Guardians Discussions

canonn does something different? its all a tinfoil until proven true. everyone wants to protect their truth.
as far as i know clara is working hard on trying to find the proof. if you want to discourage explorers and researchers go ahead.

yeah no, i wasnt going to mention that your primary reason for posting seems to be just a blatant posthunt but there it is.
im sure that the 15 views clara gets will turn her life over. do you say the same when buurs vids are posted in the forums? what about alec turner? im sure all the races are just to boost his youtube career.

people can have opinions and voice them.
proof? shes working on it. do we want to support her or discourage?
are we humans or are we crabs in a bucket?
On PC now if you’d like to jump on board😉

Par for the course.
When you are dealing with a “scientific” group that routinely completely dismisses anything brought to them or worse, ridicules people, who bring relevant evidence to their feed, you tend to get a little “Grrrr”
At first, I thought they were behaving like this because I was the only girl. Until I started getting messages from other players, complaining about the same treatment, and how they never open their mouth in the feeds, or they have quit the group all together.
The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
Had I not turned into a total “B”, none of this information would ever have seen the outside of the game. Sad but true.
There are large groups of people out there that have not done their homework, and are convinced that they know everything necessary, even though no one has gotten into the locked area surrounding the guardian HomeWorld.
I have an experiment for you to perform.
Look through the guardian materials and find something that no one has an answer for. Create a couple of theories based on that thing and present it in the canon feeds and see how you get treated.
A large portion of the people who are supporting me, are supporting me, because I am headbutting the very people that have been shaming everyone who has tried to contribute. In the process, I am also learning that some of my theories have been thought of before, but were completely dismissed when other players tried to present them.
I started the guardian science corps to try and get these people to resubmit their ideas in an open forum, so we can investigate every possible theory and illuminate what is wrong or incorrect . Giving us a clearer path forward.
But a big mouth is no substitution for facts. So if anyone ever brings me any, you will probably see that come down a knotch.
In short, I’m waiting to be outmatched. I literally have zero education, and this particular mystery requires someone who is educated.

I don't care about the fight you are fighting one way or another. Want some honest advice from a geezer? Focus on your stuff and what you want to accomplish instead of trying to win cat fights with other communities. Fighting or even arguing with other groups, calling them names, clueless or anything else will not only not get you ahead, it will also lose you acceptance by others.

Works in real life too.

A bit of modesty and a little less slandering of those who disagree with you might make people more sympathetic to your cause. Maybe. Just sayin'.
One more thing. The videos that are called the Guardian chronicles are not simply videos.
Throughout this mystery, a lot of people have had like-minded theories, and I’m trying to get all the preliminary information out there so that most people that follow this mystery are on the same page. Along with a little bit of homework that we have done to try to clarify what real information we have and what is still a guess. This has become increasingly difficult because everything guardian is extremely abstract in human terms. So the guardian Chronicles are just relevant information about the civilization and the puzzle that cannot be found in the logs. On site observations and the like. In the last one I addressed how popular theory in the scientific community is contradictory to the actual logs. These are meant to be somewhat documentary in nature. Not just bloviating for fun.
In the process of making the videos also helps me focus on some of these theories and clear away some of the Muck. It helps clear my head.

Never called anyone any names. But I was pushed into an uncomfortable position of throwing the logs in a couple of peoples faces to make them realize how off the mark everything had gotten.
In order to reach my goal however, I have to consider all of the work that has already been done. Try this and you’ll see what I mean.
Open a page in Google Chrome and look up elite dangerous guardians, and then go to images. What you will find are dozens of photographs that have been altered, some of them were added to the Canonn website, from people who tried to crack this, but were routinely dismissed or ridiculed until they stopped trying. These people had a lot of heart and we’re putting a lot of effort into solving this mystery, but could not take the flack they were getting from people who behaved like they were superior in someway.
Then there are a lot of veteran players, who have their own theories that they never posted.
My point?
A lot of the preliminary work has already been done and a lot of theories have already been disproven with real facts. So by engaging multiple communities, I’m hoping to shake loose all of the relevant information so that my department can figure out what needs to be dismissed and where the focus needs to be.
But I routinely get naysayers who are impeding the progress we are trying to make with nothing but just criticism. No real points to make. Just annoyed that you are enthusiastic and they are not.
So I have excepted that upsetting the apple cart may be necessary to move the ball forward. But I doubt you will ever find a post anywhere from me where I have resorted to name-calling. I’m a little more concise than that.
And if you are truly an old geezer, surely you have a few ideas of your own. I would be willing to hear you out. I doubt Canonn would be that friendly to you. At least that is the impression I got from some of the interactions I’ve been reading.
The attitude at the GSC is that all ideas are on the table, no matter how outrageous, until we find a real clue we can sync our teeth into. We are trying to approach this with an open mind, except for where the logs closed them.
Yours

Is there someone who is able to translate this? (It is from this place.)
C1(To+Ur:C4?) C6(To+Ta:C5?)
It isn't about the abbreviations as such, I get those. C1 and the like refer to locations on the associated map, "To" and the like are the items in question (there's a legend provided for those).
But the stuff in brackets confuses me.

EDIT to add: I am aware that this might have been covered somewhen in the past of this thread, but I don't have the capacity to read through 90+ pages. And I would like to avoid spoilers.

There is a map for the place linked in the Canonn article. C1(To+Ur:C4?) means: Go to C1 as found in that map and scan it with a Totem and an Urn in your cargo, and the scan will yield the log "Culture 4". Why the question mark? I don't know. Maybe it needs to be verified.

Cheers.
Now the pieces fit a lot better. All I have to do now is find out where exactly I can find these items...
I sure hope they are to be found somewhere in that ruin...

You wouldnt find it in here because its somewhere else :D

Route 2 is still working as described in the guide. The guide from canonns website is not verified and the blocks of obelisks have different labels. I wouldnt even try to do it like that.

To be honest, I took a look at it and decided to wing it. As I am aiming to just do this first ruin for this run, to get an idea what awaits me in there, it doesn't really matter how long it will take me. As long as I find my way back to Meene before the timer runs out of time...

Just visited the first Guardian Structures, more like a tourist, but still with the archaeological curiosity that is part of my thinking process.
This is ruin #1, as denominated by the DSS, and some interesting details you might have seen quite often, now:

The structure here reminds me of early human fortifications. Although, it could also be a radioastronomic facility.

I have reached #2 now, but as it was almost pitch black night, I set up camp near it.

❤️❤️❤️nice shots

I visited the next ruin, #2, according to the DSS.
Guardian Ruins 2.jpg

Colours are a bit off, as I had to find a way to increase the visibility of the structures. Interesting layout.
Though I somewhat feel like to really discover what this was all about, we would have to use archaeological scanners like ground radar and the like, prior to some careful excavation.

I have made my way over to #3, now and scouted around quite a bit, but I feel like this isn't the right structure, either.
Maybe I'm just missing a few details, as how to find those other structures. I have found the Codex Cores and the Artefact Spires, but the Data Core Access and those Pylons are nowhere to be seen.
I fear I won't make it back before the time limit runs out... About two days left.

Here are some hints to increase visibility. In the upload, if you see something in the Vizza Bility is not great when you see the image, just upload it to your cell phone and enhance the exposure and the brightness. And bring up the sharpness a lot. The sharpness adds bright points to certain parts of pixels and actually clarifies the image a little better and literally makes the edges brighter.
If the sun is not directly overhead, when you are taking shots, always take a second shot with your night scope on. The night scope tends to bring out features and separate the structure elements from the rocks. Those are a lot easier to enhance. In both cases you want to bring your saturation up at least 15 to 20%.

The pylons will not emerge until you find the computer core complex. The pylons there are the master switches for the rest. Those have to be activated before the others can. Some of the pylon bases around the site might be buried or hiding behind certain tech. It depends on the structure. But in all cases the ones closest to the central core must be active first.
There are a few structures that are completely void of any of these features. Not many. These tend to be smaller.
The only thing the ruins share in common with the structures are the obelisks and the relic towers. But from what we’ve been able to tell the relic towers serve a different purpose at the ruins, than they do with the structures. And the structures are more interactive, whereas the ruins are meant to be viewed from overhead, and from what we can tell are a set of very intricate instructions, locations, and the orbital mechanics of something we are trying to identify. The loose theory right now is that the ruins are the instructions on how to find and activate the net work, which is the structures and the beacons. The structures are definitely interactive, whereas the ruins are not so much .
The logs say that guardians had implants that interacted seamlessly with the entire net work, and the ones who didn’t had it installed in their ships. So they could’ve activated the relic towers or accessed the obelisks from above the site without ever landing. This would also be the case if the monolith Nettwerk were activated and functioning. They were just have to access a Datapoint, and would probably never have to land.

Wrong type of POI.
"Guardian Structure" has the data core and pylons. They are much rarer to find than the "Ancient Ruins" that you are visiting.
Obelisks at the structures may require different (much harder to acquire) items to activate them.
