Just a couple of weeks ago while checking how many shell companies they had. I noticed his name came up on reported board changes.
He was still on the main one though. You would think that they would tell the great unwashed if he had left, after all they have been paying him a good wage for years.

Edit: He resigned from Cloud Imperium Games Limited on the 31st May this year. Along with Roberts Space Industries International Limited and Gemini 42 Productions Limited. He is still active as a director of Cloud Imperium UK Ltd

It was started when salty goonswarm members got mad when CIG announced the game won't just be first person EVE and they won't be able to make a super mega corp to control the universe and bully other players.
So they decided the best way to kill the project was make up lies and get a "refund snowball" happening. And by make up lies I mean going so far as to make fake negative glassdoor reviews from made up "disgruntled former employees" which were proven false by CIG themselves.
Over time it just turned into a hate sub for the project where all they do is obsess over trying to find any reason why they're so much better than the people who just play SC and have fun

Ummm.... bolded part, isn't that kind of what CIG is still selling to backers after all these years and what many backers are still salivating over? Join an Org! Get big and powerful! Dominate others! Every time the whole PvP vs PvE debate kicks off on Spectrum you've got those doggedly defending PvP as being part of the core promise of SC, that nobody can be safe, that you need to hire escorts, you need protection, and top dog wins!

That file seems to be in German, and you are French or Canadian if I remember correctly. Was curious where that was from, do you have a link to the source of the pic?

You seem to not understand that a random copy/paste of ONE image from a random site found after ONE minute of search without even looking at the URL, name of the reddit and without knowing anything else from this reddit and not posting a link to this reddit is not an acceptation of whatever has been written in this reddit EXCEPT the ONE image that was copy/pasted, image that is just a compilation of what DS posted on Twitter. I even had to search FIVE minutes (5x the time of my initial search) to find again the link because you asked me, wondering why it was so important to you for asking for it 2 times...
"90 days tops" is absolutely not about DS since a long time. He was the author, but when someone use this expression on SC reddit, it's to mock guys that claim that SC will die soon. This expression exists on its own since several years on SC reddit, without reference to its author when used.
But as you wish, I must be a personnal hater of Mr Derek because I've posted this ONE picture. Because for sure you can't post ONE picture taken of the web without having spent hours to read and write at the place where it was taken

Sure those people exist no doubt but I remember that I been called a "hater" for far less,for example somewhere around 2015 I remember that I said something like how I doubt that SC is going to be released until 2020 and that Crytek engine is not a good choice for this type of a game....Well lets said that hater is probablly the least toxic word that some of the "knights" from SC community throw at me so since then I don't think that I posted anything on their official SC forum......

If people try and say i hate SC, i'll laugh. I don't hate SC, its not a bad idea at its core, if not its implementation. Another good space game would be welcome.

I do "hate" CIG, although its too strong a word for it, due to the many many reasons we have discussed here in this thread. CIG was meant to be better than other companies that we see in the gaming industry. Instead they became what many of us hate about the modern gaming industry.
