I saw elsewhere here that people were talking about Frontier going thru a hard time but had no clue what they were talking about."Frontier Developments announces layoffs 'following a period of disappointing financial performance'" you get some articles if you google it![]()
I've got some hope. What I saw was two games kept up a profit, PZ and JW2 supposedly. So hopefully those teams should be fine.I saw elsewhere here that people were talking about Frontier going thru a hard time but had no clue what they were talking about.
Yeah...sucks for the people there. Hope they get thru with as few layoffs as possible.
Thank you for getting back to us with a reply on this!!Hayo PlanZo fam! It seems there was an error on our side regarding the Anniversary Challenge and it did not go ahead as we intended. We still really want these rewards to get to you so we are restarting the challenge this week, and as a big thank you for being so patient with us, we'll be reducing the rewards criteria as well.
Here are the details of the new challenge:
Start time: Tuesday 07/11/23 00:00am (midnight)
End time: Monday 13/11/23 00:00am (midnight)
Reward criteria:
Just a note: You should receive all available rewards for this challenge after releasing 178 animals.
- Every 2 animals released gives you a boosted animal that has an 80%+ in any gene, with a 5% chance of albino colouring
- Every 6 animals released gives you an avatar costume
Sorry for the error, I know you were all so excited to celebrate the Anniversary, so hopefully you can all still join in with this new extended window!![]()

Hi! Sorry that you weren't able to receive the rewards for what you've done already, but we're setting the challenge live again with reduced criteria this time so hopefully it won't take you as long to get all the rewards this time! Will I need to re-do the challenge? Or I'll get the rewards for what I've already done?
Hope you can still enjoy the challenge this time round!Thank you for getting back to us with a reply on this!!
You didn't need to bring down the requirements, but we very much appreciate that!
Also thanks for telling us the cut off amount so some of us (aka me) aren't releasing 1000s of animals![]()

Thank you!!!Just to say that in the grand scheme of things and given the possible situation (and staffing levels) at Frontier right now, might I suggest turning down the level of outrage over this.
I appreciate lowering the criteria, as I spent a lot of time the first time around and without this I probably wouldn't be able to(nor have the desire to) do it again.Hayo PlanZo fam! I’m having trouble with rotating my shelters that were made in the steam workshop those little green dots around the axis are problematic I tried to disable them but it didn’t work it even messes up my pride rock for my lions when I put in the downloadable shelters it’s crooked. I get it straight can anyone help me with a solution.Hayo Zookeepers,
Wippi Abbonibo or Happy Anniversary! This weekend we're celebrating the 4th Anniversary of Planet Zoo, so of course we've got some exciting new things for you to enjoy in game
Free update 1.15.2 will be featuring some brand new Anniversary content that is available right now, just update your game! Are you ready to see what other exciting things we've got planned for you? Without further ado, lets get into what's going on for this year's Planet Zoo Anniversary celebration!
Let's start off with a bang by introducing our brand new friend - meet the Collared Peccary!

The Collared Peccary evolved from pig-like ancestors in Europe and now have a significant presence in North America. In game, the Collared Peccary will be able to forage using the forage box and also be able to roll about in mud! We can't wait to see what kind of habitats you build for them in your Zoos. They are also very social creatures living in herds of 5-15, so make sure to add a bunch of them into your habitats!
Of course, what better way to celebrate a special occasion with none other than balloons! We've added a variety of four animal balloons which will be part of this free update. Designs will include the Orangutan, Black & White Ruffed Lemur, the Red Deer and the Collared Peccary. Just like the other balloons in game, guests will be able to hold them and they will be a permanent addition to the game, which we're sure your guests will love!

This sale will run for a limited time just for the Anniversary weekend so make sure to get your Planet Zoo swag now up to 25% off!

Of course we've got another limited-time celebration happening in game this weekend with a 24 hour Community Challenge from 3rd-6th November! In this special event, you'll receive a boosted animal that has an 80%+ in any gene, in return for every 5 animals you release (with a 1 in 50 chance of having Piebald or Albino colouring!) You will also gain a complete Avatar outfit for every 20 animals released - so both you and your animals will look, oh so stylish!
Make sure to stay tuned on all our social channels as we'll also be hosting some giveaways over there too! You can find us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and now officially on TikTok!
As always we can't end this post without thanking YOU, our amazing community that have been here and supported Planet Zoo for the past four years. Planet Zoo wouldn't be the same without each and everyone one of you, so thankyou!
