So since it the topic right now.
What would everybodies BARE MINIMUM asian ungulate addtions be?

For me its a takin, muntjac and nilgai

Yak, Blackbuck and Muntjac. Bare bare minimum.
Pere David’s Deer, Takin, Markhor, Saiga, Nilgai, Gaur and Banteng would be great additions too.

If we’re talkint ungulates found in Asia but more predominantly associated with other areas of the world, the Muskox, Wild Boar and Wapiti are the top of my list by a long shot. But both the Muskox and Wapiti have more association with NA, and the Muskox and Wild Boar with Europe.

Yeah, yaks are so common in zoos. As they are domesticated, they are well kept in zoos. Their coat can have so many colour variations too, making them very interesting. I’d LOVE to see them in game.

Me too. I can't believe I completely spaced them when I listed my essential Asian ungulates... Yak is one of my most wanted!

Feels kinda quiet around here this afternoon so I'll build off of what @KönigDerKaffeebohnen said about a mountains pack may not be exactly what we hope for.

I really hope I'm wrong on that last one.

Both would be very okay for me. The First more but I would Not have a Lot against the second one. I do not mind If we should get a Golden Snub Nosed Monkey. It is also welcome for me. But I think we will either get the Hamadryas Baboon or the Gelada at the end which are also my prefered picks.

I've only seen them in northern zoos, my local zoo has domestic yak mixed with bactrian Camels. I must imagine their thick coats are not suitable for warm climates.

Probably. I've seen them in Northern European zoos which also have muskox and other cold tolerant animals.

I know wild yaks are prone to overheating and from what I read did very poorly in captivity. Even though I prefer the wild version the domesticated obviously does very well in captivity.

Personally I’d rather have something else then the domesticated yak. Not near as good as the wild counterparts. If we got them it’s no big deal and I would use them but still prefer something else.

Alpine, Ground birds or Latin America. It’s gotta be one of those, right? Lol

Remember this time last year people were constantly talking about children's farm pack lol and we just got Oceania after that was a craze ages ago.

Blackbuck and Muntjac are the bare minimum for me, those are absolute necessities.

Beyond that, I would also really like to see a Himalayan caprine (markhor and takin) and also a more typical Asian deer like Sika Deer as well as musk deer and a chevrotain.

Yaks are just land walruses to me. People want them because they're big and have things jutting out of their bodies or whatever... But they wouldn't be very fun to build for. And yeah, they'd look visually cool, but really they don't do all that much... Hard pass.

I'm fully backin' the takin.

K I can forgive the pallas cat, cause fine its not the most interesting ( I dont see this but this is not the time for my cat friend, I'll bring him up in a couple days) but the moment we start slandering the Takin, things become lets go with "compelling".

You can't tell me a regular furry cow with two large horns as its main attraction is wanted more than this beautifully coloured furry masterpiece of an animal.

Never seen em in a zoo and I dont have to, they're gonna be so much fun to build for.
