Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Should a petting zoo pack be scenery or animal pack btw?

I heavily think it’ll be a scenery pack if we ever get one cause it can give us a carousel building set and playground building sets just like how we got bridge sets in Europe or the ships and food trucks.
Scenery, for what you said as well as all of the farm building pieces (which we already have some of from the Aquatic and Conservation packs) that it could offer.

Neither to me.

Also does anyone want the Spanish Fighting Bull in the game?

But that argument can be made for basically any pack. Some want desert animals, some don’t, didn’t stop us from getting the Arid Pack.
The risk is Higher than for Standard Pack. Even within the arid Pack there could be at least one animal people wanted. Be it the Porcupine or the Dromedary. If you Just do Not want a Pack only with domesticated animals there will be no animal you wanted for Sure. That is the difference.

My friend, I think you may just enjoy interacting with some animals,Feeding giraffes is equally fun.In my place, you can even have a brief interaction with panda cubs
Perhaps all you need is a mechanism to interact with animals In PZ
Indeed, more animal interactions in PZ would be great. My point was just that the two aren't mutually exclusive - less exotic doesn't automatically have to equate to 'no fun.'

That’s why I think they’ll mix it up by throwing in the Mara. But also, if we got bunnies in a petting zoo pack and they had colour variants, couldn’t that double as an Arctic hare? Like would that be something people would do? Genuine question.

@Captain Callum yeah that’s something I actually learned during the twilight pack. In comparison even though a lot of European animals are similar to American animals I find them quite fascinating. They unfortunately are not very common at all here in the US. As far as American animals go I find them fascinating too. Some like skunk, turkey, deer, opossum, fox, and raccoon are super common and even seen as pests to some people. We used to feed raccoons and the occasional opossum would eat with them. They don’t really enjoy each other’s company but hard to pass up a free meal. NA animals like bison, bears, cats, eagles, ungulates, etc always draw more attention.

But things like goats cattle and sheep aren’t zoo animals, they’re farm animals. Nobody goes to a zoo to see goats, you don’t learn about zoos when you’re growing up by seeing pictures of goats in zoos,
Here is a picture of goats in Basel Zoo. It’s my nephew’s favourite picture book and I actually have a copy too.

(I’m not at home now so this is the best image I could find online just now)

Scenery pack :D
And yes to playgrounds and carousel building sets :D

@markun I have to ask is that a picture book of the zoo. That looks amazing I love stuff like this. I have many books like DK which I love their pictures among many others but I’ll have to try to get a copy of that.
Yes, it’s a board book style picture book. In German they are called Wimmelbücher and lots of zoos in Germany, Switzerland and Austria have them. The quality of illustration varies but I think that Basel’s is one of the best.
