Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

I also think, africa is not overpressented. I mean, when we look at a real zoo, most of the animals are from africa. And I would always welcome more african species. But tbh for this year We got enough african animals. So I would not want another full africa pack NOW. for Sommer 2024? Sure, give me a safari pack. But for now, I think we need a few more animals from SA or Asia.

Having mountains and himalaya pack would be conflicting. We don't normally get 2 cross over packs like that unless the mountains pack didn't touch the himalayas so it could be like the australia and oceania packs.
Yeah, that was my idea. When We get a himalaya pack, We would Not get a himalaya animal in the highlands pack. Tbh, I also do Not think that this is a really good idea, its just a idea how a year full of cold packs could be

I must be the only one not particularly bothered by birds. I find them a pain due to how much they breed.

Coincidentally, I really wouldn't mind a habitat management tab similar to the exhibits one where species are sold or released to wild automatically.

South America deserves more exhibit species than Africa
I think that’s one of the hardest things to do with South America, yes there are a number of habitat species that can still be added into the game. Here is a short list off the top of my head:
  1. American Flamingo
  2. Brown Pelican
  3. Burrowing owl
  4. Red legged seriema
  5. Roseate spoonbill
  6. Crested Tinamou
  7. Whistling duck
  8. Humboldt penguin
  9. Sunbittern
  10. Agouti
  11. Patagonian Mara
  12. Vicuña
  13. Spectacled bear
  14. Black Howler Monkey
  15. Spider monkey
  16. Golden Lion Tamarin
  17. White faced saki
  18. Tegu
But one of the issues is South America’s representation through exhibit species, which is an even bigger issue when we only get one exhibit animal at a time. Not to mention flying birds and fish, which as of right now have no way to be represented in game. Edit I do remember that WTE exist, I’m just not gonna hold out hope until Frontier pulls the plug and gives us some.

I'll lend you my forum shield for that, you'll need it :ROFLMAO:
You're not the only one, but we are a minority and I have to say, I'm at a point where I do want some birds. Not necessarily the ones everyone else wants though, the shoebill is just totally overrated for me, for example.

That’s just not right.

It is to me as well. Like i think is cool but i don't see how is a priority or so important that we should get the shoebill.

Don't forget the Brazilian Tapir.

I can only check EAZA but it's also incredible rare in captivity it seems. I'd rather talk about things like the Marabou, if we keep it strictly to "non-flying" birds. Uggly but unique and much more common in captivity.
Let alone all those "clones" like Grey Crowned Crane, American Flamingo etc.

Finally someone else agrees the shoebill is so overrated 😄
Ngl, it would be my own personal "hate pick" in any pack. Like, I know I'm not the biggest bird fan on earth anyway, but I rarely see them as a wasted slot. The shoebill? Yes. Wasted slot for me personally. I would never use it and I used every other bird in the game. Sooo many better picks. I feel like someone on the forum started the shoebill thing at one point and other people just ran with it because they did not need to think of another bird then.

Shoebill isn’t as important as other African birds like Secretary or Hornbill, but it’s still cool and it would be a great addition in any pack.

Btw I understand the shoebill but if anyone says the hornbill is overrated, I might lose it.

A hornbill aviary is actually on my to-do list of habitats to build in the next month. Of all the smaller habitat birds, the southern ground hornbill would be my top pick.

Get ready to lose it, then.
But honestly, are they kept anywhere in a non-aviary habitat? Because if we are talking about birds that need a netting, then I got a whole other list. And the hornbill is still not on it, but that's personal preference.
