Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Was just thinking about what pack hasn't been discussed yet (or not so much). And what Aramar said that the pack will be something totally unexpected. Anyone still think we could get a nocturnal pack? Like with for example slow loris, bushbaby, other solely nocturnal animals... And an update to make real dark buildings. Perhaps even our first regular exhibit mammals? And would such a pack be a succes and possible bring back many players?
Im in favor of getting somehting like this in the future, nothing im absolutely dying for but could definetly bring some cool stuff. With a theme based on nocturnal houses with indoor stuff and so on. Also the current roster for nocturnal houses still leaves much to be desired imo

You guys asking for a nocturnal pack? Again? Are you serious? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: The twilight pack is literally there, that's kinda the closest thing you gonna get, and obviously they aren't going to make anything further when the game doesn't even have nocturnal/diurnal behaviors...
People also are asking for another SA even tho the SA is literally there, Same with tundra . We had the exact thing recently with arid and oceania
No reason broad themes cant be revisited when there is still stuff left out

We keep asking for more africa animals when obviously africa has plenty of animals, all of the pack ideas like mountains, islands, nocturnal, south america or whatever could always be another dlc without much repetition. Just because one pack idea is more relevant to the communitys needs shouldn't mean the theme is finshed ( yes i will still say oceania could have more dlc as much as it hurts to say). It's like i will never be satisfied with the islands idea until i get 5 species of lemurs to choose from and a whole bunch of aquatic species to fill aquariums with.

Going back a little bit to the large African habitat birds, these are my top ten choices - all can and are kept in open-topped displays:

1. Southern ground hornbill
2. Grey crowned crane
3. Goliath heron (I think a really underrated pick - the world's largest species of heron and a really excellent representative of African wetlands)
4. Secretary bird
5. Kori bustard
6. Saddle-billed stork
7. Vulturine guineafowl
8. African spoonbill
9. Spur-winged goose (the world's largest goose, with spikes on its wings and poisonous flesh - what's not to like?)
10. Marabou stork

Just for Fun a (imo) cool and not to out there Islands and Nocturnal house roster

Islands animal pack:
-Tree kangaroo
-Japanese serrow
-Nene or victoria crowned pigeon
-Cuban flamingo or rockhopper
-Radiated tortoise
-Racoon dog
-Sifaka
- Panther chameleon or tuatara

Nocturnal house pack
-Aye aye
-Luzon giant cloud rat
-Mouse deer
-.Civet, genet or quoll
-Tokay gecko

To say there is no potential for nocturnal houses, and especially islands is insane to me

First: I really enjoy both of these rosters and would personally be ecstatic about them. These appeal pretty perfectly to my tastes. Hah.

Second: Unfortunately, I don't see either of these as even remotely likely. Nor do I think they would be particularly pleasing to the broader player base. The Nocturnal House idea could work with the right marketing and scenery to back it but from an animal roster perspective... They both feel super niche.

The nocturnal house roster is rather niche i admit but the islands roster doesnt feel any more niche than the common mountain or SA rosters

All we need for nocturnal houses is shadow panels or a way to make buildings dark on command. We get that in a free update and my needs for nocturnal houses are closed.
My main cause for concern for these nocturnal building sets is how to contain the darkness with entrance like doors since natural light would appear through this along with any habitat entrances to outdoor areas. It's a great idea but not without problems with how the game generates daylight.

I am not asking for anything it is just a discussion. But you guys all mention the Twilight pack. I don't really consider this pack nocturnal. By nocturnal I mean solely active by night and thus only kept in nocturnal buildings. With animals that are different from what we have now. For example night monkey, slow loris, a mammal exhibit.. Many of the animals of Twilight are also active by day. So this could make the difference for players to buy the pack

Building indoors is this game is very annoying so no thanks I'll pass

This is basically like saying we need a desert pack when we have the arid animal pack, but we need it cause it could include different kinds of animals and the arid pack wasn’t named a desert pack.

The twilight pack was marketed as a Halloween and night pack. It’s the closest thing we’re gonna get to a nocturnal pack and most of the animals I’ve seen requested for a nocturnal pack being brutally honest, are not gonna sell a pack. There’s no icon animals left for it, and the other animals are not popular within the community, it can’t even take a couple off the meta wishlist. I wouldn’t even buy a pack like this.
