Could be easily made like humidity etc. in exhibits.
I don't see that feature as neccessary, yet educational.

Hmm, yeah there aren't always hints but we have sometimes had some good ones from the free updates:

  • Update 1.1: Aurora borealis hinting at Arctic DLC
  • Update 1.2: Tropical rocks and foliage hinting at South America pack
  • Update 1.4: Deep swimming, underwater feeder and water temperature hinting at Aquatic pack
  • Update 1.8: Burrows hinting at a burrowing animal, which was the badger in the Europe pack
  • Update 1.9: Terracing terrain tool and bathing behaviour hinting at Wetlands pack
  • Update 1.11: Flippin the bins hinting at Raccoon in Twilight pack, and walkthrough exhibits hinting at.....well, bats it turned out
  • Update 1.15: No hints needed as they came out at the same time, but lava rocks etc

Its not as bad as say annual releases by big name companies or even jwe with its 3 year gap, but I'm not convinced with the idea of buying 15 or so dlc packs all again when the existing game has roughly two thirds of all the animals I need already.

Tbh same. Is just need birds and a bit more of SA and the game would be pretty much perfecto for me. Sure i Will always have a never ending wishlist but the essentials i need would pretty much be covered by those two cathegories.

We litterally have no idea, there's no evidence that a sequence is happening (the only evidence is JWE2, which is under controll of universal and frontier have little control what they can do in the game) besides frontier can be holding birds for any reason, like a final pack, boost up dlc sales or by no reason at all, as we received the WE mechanic on a random ocasion.
