Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Still not an animal i cares about getting for the game. I don't care about the whole common in captivity thing

But definitely shows the diversity of Asia. I wasn’t wanting or expecting it but I think it would be a good and different addition.
There is definitely was someone who was really expecting it.
Blackbuck could still come as an anniversary animal.

So far I'm liking the picks, it's going to be a combo of the arid and Oceania packs in regards to roster diversity. Kinda funny that the people who liked oceania with its niche animals are hating this pack.

It’s ok guys it’s definitely from what I can tell not a farewell pack and most definitely should have more dlc next year. Trust me on this I’m telling frontier has a format for their last dlc. It’s a tad more expensive and features a few more animals. They did it with jwe and PC. They’ll do it with PZ and jwe2 as well. Guaranteed! On the other hand sloth bear takes pack favorite imo hands down!

Definitely looking forward to displaying these guys next to their mortal enemies the Bengal tiger.

Again people are whining about Saiga and its present in many zoos just not in the western countries (Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan or China).
It’s definitely more present in zoos than quokka so hold your horses and stop the hate.

Personally I don’t have much stake into the saiga thing, but if it’s like the quokka and is common in zoos in other parts of the world, I’ll take it!

The thing I find interesting is it doesn’t sound like a new rig was made yet. Maybe some new animations with babies on the back. But no new models. While I’m gonna hold hope we get at least 1 bird, especially the duck, we will see. If Frontier is holding the duck and any other animals back it would be interesting.

So far I am most excited about the Takin!

Well...whenever people talk about animals that are not commonly seen in zoos...the platypus, the wild buffalo, the dinger, these animals start to come to mind.

Dingos are around. But yeah, I agree, the platypus and wild water buffalo weren't great picks for me either.

Not in the EU, the Quokka is more present than the Saiga. Even Orcas appear in more Zoos than Saigas.

I also thought First about the Dik Dik because of the landscape. It would be a dream for me. But at the end it will be the Saiga as I think we will See an Asian animal Pack. And the Dik Dik does not live in herds. They are bonded in pairs.

I see, it would be an odd choice though. Well maybe the saiga could sell because it looks cute in a way. I would still Prefer the dik dik

They're not common, I think like one or two zoos have them and there are like some semi captive populations and others in national parks

This is another Arid case for me. These animals are all fine on their own but as a set its just so lacking and does nothing to help the game's roster situation. Hopefully the other animals are better, but if you have nearly all of Asia two ungulates and two carnivorans aren't exactly the most diverse picks for such a large region.

Very sad that Tropical will very likely be the best pack of 2023.
