Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

@Pentoleaf You're getting the SAIGA!
BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!!! THANK YOU FRONTIER!!!

The Calgary zoo had plans to add them to their Expedition Asia section and I was so excited, but I assume that the war in Ukraine has seriously derailled that plan since they haven't mentioned it in a while. At least now I can admire their digital snuffles.

And with Planet Earth 3 its a bit more publicity for them which means more awareness and hopefully more conservation dollars.

I'm sooooo happy for you!
Now, I hope to be happy for that biggest dreamer of us.

honestly the sloth bear was my least wanted ABB is at least iconic for its region and very popular there and the spectacled bear is representative of an iconic region of south america the andes
Yes but sloth bear is visually distinct (although spectacled bear is as well), frugivore/insectivore, has big claws and long face, and carries babies on their back (which hopefully, HOPEFULLY, will mean they'll incorporate this behaviour in other animals already in game like pangolins and anteaters). Plus india is in need of Animals almost as much as SA (and that's coming from a southamerican)

Far from any civilization yet somehow a land that birthed civilization. It is a land of elegant animals like the Arabian horse.
In the red dunes...

I'm glad you got your favorite animal!

Now Frontier, please, my turn lol

I remember last time with the arid Pack we got 4 revealed and they were decent (except for the porcupine, I was very excited for it) but the other 3 were eh, and I was like “ok so the last three are gonna be Secretary bird baboon and tortoise, right?” Please don’t let this be the same thing as last time 😭

All it takes is 3 names like Snub nosed monkey boar and Eurasian otter to sink this pack straight to the bottom 😭😭

You'll get wisent, wild boar and GSNM this time. :D

Tanukis captive presence: They are in a couple zoos in North America
As one of the raccoon dog's biggest supporters, I do feel compelled to keep the arguments for them factual - they're actually only kept at a single North American facility, that being Oklahoma City. I certainly wish there were more, but so it goes.

Im just hoping that the animals talked about arent supposed to be the best animals in the pack.
Im also hoping that them avoiding talking about the free update means something

the Takin is the best Animal in This pack. Even, We dont Know, What the other Animals will be, I can say, the Takin will the best for me.
for me Personally the perfect remaining 3 Animals Are :

  1. Banteng
  2. Blackbuck/Muntjak
  3. Lion tailed maquace

Btw can anyone explain to me why they would prefer the sloth bear over the other bears?
Its a slimmer asiatic black bear, that fills the niche of the sunbear and is the least common bear in zoos by a large margin.
It doesnt even look special besides having fuzzy ears
Its literally just a cross of two bears we allready have that are for any sense and purpose better then it
Both have larger and more varied ranges, the black bear is the fluffy version, the sunbear is the special slim weird looking version and the sloth bear just looks like the inbetween version.
The sun bear is also the smallest bear and more insectivores then the sloth bear, so it isnt even unique in that regard so why is it here and why are people actually wanting it above the short faced bear from south america and the all terrain all color all biomes all of north america bear?
I get not wanting a bear at all, but why this one?
What am i missing here?

I wonder if we'll get some foliage too with the update and what could it be. Also I hope the sloth bear can use the enrichment feeder from the South East Asia pack (which currently can be used only by the sun bear).
