I am pretty sure it was refered to the Golden Takin. The brown to golden Hair at least disqualifies the Wisent for me. This has Brown Hair which perhaps can Go into the Red direction.

So seeing this site made me wonder the potential of being a Highland Animal Pack.
With Himalayan Monal, Markhor, and Yak as the remaining three. Otherwise alternatives like Pallas Cat and Tanuki are available to avert ungulates pack 2.0 lol.

I would prefer the wisent over the takin but someone suggested elk now that is all I can think of and is definitely better than either takin or wisent for me

I would love the asiatic lion but I see one big problem with it under the current taxonomic understanding it is the same subspecies as the west african lion so unless they use an older taxonomic classification system which people would be mad at they would have to be some other way of them distinguish between the 2.

I honestly hope in 2024 that Frontier stops looking at the meta wishlist so much. I think this year has shown that it isn't representative of what the community currently wants, like most of the animals we got were high up on the list but those same animals also were quite controversial a lot of the time. Meanwhile a lot of the animals I see people talking more about now are quite low on the meta-wishlist.

The bigger problem here is that this community is really indecisive about what they want beyond birds and fully aquatic animals (and, let’s be honest here, people just want fully aquatics for cetaceans, most people don’t give a care about fish at all). People have been wanting saiga for a long time and now all of a sudden don’t like it now that we’re getting it

Their fault for choosing crappy animals, if they picked a spec or abb the chat would have been roaring, not my problem when their choice of bear is only marginally better then the european brown bear

These are the words of someone who likely knows next to nothing about sloth bears. Maybe do some research and get back to us

they are found in asia they even have subspecies found exclusively in sibera and china. I do admit the are definitely more iconic to north america

One is a different species. The other is a subspecies from which we already have 3. Why the Spectacled Bear or the ABB should be better than the Sloth Bear must be explained to me. They are all valid picks and in kind of diversity the ABB would perhaps be the last best pick. But I nevertheless wanted all 3 remaining bear species. So now getting the Sloth Bear is a good beginning.
