Planet Zoo: Eurasia Animal Pack arriving 13 Dec ❄️

I doubt it will happen, but a hidden baby carry feature update would be a champaign moment. Cool feature also for a SA DLC and that's where I stop talking about the future. I am happy with the present.

(DLC wise, not Frontier as a company wise and my excitement and gratefulness for this DLC does not take away from my deepest sympathy to those at Frontier who have little to celebrate right now.)

Sloth Bear - Eurasia Animal Pack! ❄️

- Oh my god frontier NAILED it! it's looking absolutely phenomenal! I wasn't super excited for them but now! oh man I think they gonna be one of my fav from the pack FOR SURE! look at those adorable cubs!
It's hard to believe that this is the first new bear we've gotten since the Southeast Asia Animal Pack 2 1/2 years ago. I had a feeling that we'd get another bear before support ends, and the Sloth Bear looks amazing!

I think the opposite, it looks really good in the trailer, in the screenshot it looks kinda sad.

Cute little ferocious piggie! I'm glad you're in the game you were one of my most wanteds.
BUT I didn't invite you just yet! HAHA
Yeah, spectacled bear is a must whenever we get a South America revisit pack. Alongside monkeys, tamandua and rhea IMO.
Latin America Scenery Pack
  • White-nosed Coati (SA is more likely but I prefer white-nosed...)
  • BLACK HOWLER MONKEY (please, add them...)
  • Southern Tamandua (since I go with the more Northern coati...)
  • Spectacled Bear (I went with SA's bear since I think the Rhea will come in some other pack since Rhea isn't priority to me at this very moment...)
  • Linne's Two-toed Sloth (good to have two of animals and another sloth will fix the lack of three-toed in captivity problem...)
  • For scenery I think they should go with the kind of architecture you could find in Brazil OR maybe a spanish colonial???)
  • and the free update has melanistic maned wolf to satisfy canid lovers...

Had a thought that's probably unlikely, but maybe? Given the focus on Eurasia, maybe the HBB will be updated to EBB in update 1.16? I know it's been mentioned by myself and others before, but kind of like a hidden part of the update until the actual rollout?

I mean, I'm hoping a hidden part of the update is that some of the Cross Foxes could have white where their orange goes.

I got the idea from the Psuedo melanistic tigers! I think in PZ world they will all be orange even though IRL they could be orange or white...

Another secret update I hope for is more flexicolor!

Just a personal opinion but I would actually dislike that. They should have added the EBB in the first place, but now that it is a subspecies from Asia, it would feel wrong to change it to a completely different subspecies that lives in a different continent. I just do not see it happening as it would mess with an already existing habitats in peoples zoos.

I mean I don’t think they’d outright replace the HBB, but I wouldn’t be mad if they did! What would be the better option is just to add in the EBB alongside the other bears, requiring no work at all!!! It’s what I’ve been dreaming of since the game’s launch

I am always hoping for that secret update as well, getting something for the Indian Sandstone set would be ideal and works with this update.

And wow, that real life fox picture looks amazing!!

I can understand that in part. But doesn't the Eurasian Brown Bear also live in Asia? It would mess with the actual country's were talking about, but as far as tags and foliage go, I would think it would make it more versatile to use, not less.

Yeah, we obviously have several sets of opinions about it...you and I with the group that want it done, those who don't want it done, and those who don't care. None of the opinions are wrong just different. My gripe with it is that now that it's arguably the highest profile missing animal from Europe, and since it's sooo close to the model being right there, it's the easiest change ever IMO.

HBB -> EBB I Also disagree... NOW That the HImalayan bear is in-game I know someone would be very upset if they changed it because someone loves HBBs...
Even though the IRL Tibetan/Himalayan Bears are WAY cooler than the Himalayan Grizzly Reskin we have...
BUT, I think EBB is more useful... So here's what I would do (IMO this is a suggestion that I would like BUT I think it'd go over horribly...)
I would change the HBB to just BB. AND in the zoopedia map just list the European and Asian parts of their range...
I mean the HBB Would still be in game but the real life hbb have those adorable poofy ears. SO you wouldn't lose those adorable traits since they already are not in game...

Lots of goofy looking animals in this pack... i love it.

If it's anything more than a name change, then changing it from one subspecies to another would be pointless... the amount of effort required, they might as well just keep the HBB and make the EBB a separate animal.

Can’t be all that common then….
I just didnt want to leave this thread go scroll back through the winter dlc speculation for about 100 pages of spam.
Didn't say that either. Though "unrealistic" is an objective measure. You wouldn't say the tyrannosaurus rex is a realistic pick for a zoo game, would you?

Don't interpret people's posts. What you did was simply put words in my mouth. I said what I meant to say, plain as day. I make my own arguments for myself and my point-of-view. Whatever you've read in similar discussions before isn't relevant.
Realism is at least somewhat subjective based on a list of presumed criteria like we can all agree the tyrannosaurus rex is unrealistic but for the longest time I thought waterfowl was unrealistic and look what just got teased because frontier hasnt given us a list of what they use to determine an animal viable for the game everyone has to determine for themselves what is unrealistic both in what can be added and what should be in a zoo it is subjective.

The nature of language is that it has to be interpreted sometimes that is easier and more clear than others.
Also yes I think I did derail the conversation slightly based on similar discussions in the past because this is quite a sore spot for me as I personally would be unhappy if frontier stopped adding the occasional oddball animal since they are some of my favourites. I do apologise for linking your conversation with this idea I will try to read your posts more carefully and treat it as literary as possible.
