Best update ever - love how customisable the gift shops are and getting the pieces individually too. Means we have such creativity. This makes me so excited and hopeful for what future mechanics we might see in this and future Frontier games as it really is pushing what’s been done before further. Whoop whoop! Thanks so much devs!

There is also a great animation of sloth bear playing and rolling in the pool. I highly recommend it.
Cool. I’m intrigued by Frontier’s investment in ‘feather technology’, which was also mentioned for JWE2. The difficulty around feathers sounds like why birds have been delayed, but there’s certainly hope for the future, whether in this or a future game!
Do the swans vocalize much/at all? I've been watching all of my footage today silenced. I know they aren't typically as loud as other swan species (hence the name) but I'm hoping they didn't skimp out in the audio department too much.

Just woke up, this is probably my favourite part of the update + DLC alongside the swan. I’m tempted to build a recreation of the Adelaide Zoo tapir + langur habitat in honour of there actually being Malayan tapirs in the game once I get home.
EDIT: was so excited I spelt it “Mayalan tapir” lol

No, the tapir actually, legitimately has been remodeled after nearly 3 years. I don't understand why they felt the need to do it quietly and not broadcast it in the initial announcement. I know it'll surely be in tomorrow's release notes, but still! It's huge news, and everyone's first reaction is (understandably) that it must be a mod.
Maybe because they don't want to give us the taste to contest everything now haha !!
After all these years we can finally rest guys, we have a proper Malayan Tapir in the game now, best part of the update for me, can't wait to try them in game tomorrow, even before the new animals
