Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

CMDR Rupee Noon kissed dockers (docking computers - not space levi's) goodbye shortly after buying a Keelback as I recall. It was totally unexpected to me. Perhaps it was Type-7. The point is, I had carefully nosed up to stations and imagined manually controlling through it, but, wondered if ever I might get "THAT GOOD".

Oh yeah, so the keelback came without, Docking Computer. It was the keelback, his 4th ship.

It is good to look back and remember that. I recall being baffled and wondered if I could ever do something THAT FANCYPANTS. But, I figured it out on that lakon and ripped the docker out of the other three, and never wanted one of those again personally..

So, Penny never owned one at all because, of course, she was raised right.

Now Super Cruise Assist however, despite Rupee's similar disdain, Penny has come around on and installed in both of her Saud Krugers. As a sign of luxury and respect for their ample outfitting slots that so handsomely house such things. It is nice, especially after discovering the hyperspace dethrottle can be disabled.

I'll have to write an posthumous article into the keelback lover club thread sometime, about RN Geoduck AKA The Geoduck (gooey-duck, it's like a clam, earth shellfish I guess). The fourth ship of rupee noon

April 3007 The George Foreman Grill 2 (s/w mk1), [X] Docking Computer
Li'l Bertha (an Adder) [X] Docking Computer
The Millenium Dolphin [X] Docking Computer
R/N. GEODUCK surprise! no landing gear! I mean, no docking assist

Q: Is there anything else you want to ask or tell to Luxury Ship Feature Magazine?
A: Send 10T of SASEs, and 2 ARX, and the sensitive courier data c/o Walz station in HR 2926.

I can't remember having seen any ship completely void of a docking computer, but a few that only had the standard docking computer.
Which caught me off guard time and again on my first flight with those ships, as it wouldn't move after hitting the launch button and I had to get that ship out of there, somehow, without creating space junk in the vicinity of the mail slot. Because of my luck having it that the station I bought the ship on had almost no modules to upgrade the ship. And particularly no chance of getting the ADC in that place...

Not been active much here lately as there is not much I can say about BGS activity for my player faction.
Quain is now on a new exploration mission to do some fleet carrier exobiology before heading via Sag A* and the void hearts NSP in that area to the east edge of the galaxy to complete visiting all compass points. Elite V in exploration will happen soon.
Of course, exploration means some eye candy. So welcome to the Statue of Liberty nebula. I'm doing some exobiology in this area with a pretty view to come back to when cashing in the finds at the carrier.

I think it might be the first time I got a message like that in a Saud Kruger. Thanks Minister Stout. But I wouldn't be here if it weren't for
my beautiful mother

Slight diversion - tellurium signal spotted - tellurium duly gathered from an outcrop.

But yes, hashtag moon of a moon

Edit: just realised in the second one you can see the second moon of a moon, closer to the giant. That was total luck, didn't even notice that!
