Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Love those signs, especially if the pictures were customizable.
Also, here are some of the other signs made for SEA. These signs are so cute however, the only one that got in game is the creepiest one, the proboscis monkey sign!

I would have killed for the bear, babirusa and binturong
Genuinely sad these didn't make it in! The bear one is specifically very cool, it could have so many uses.

Would you guys like signs like this? SEA animal pack concept art.

I could kill for a sign pack like that. And the species from SEA pack are versatile enough to not really need much many signs: tapir, pig, monkey, bear, cat, dog, small long carnivore... If you add a deer/antelope it can cover 80% habitat species from the game. It would need careful minimalistic design, though.
E.g.: the sign for the clouded leopard works fine for any cat if you remove some spots, and the sun bear only needs removing that long tongue to represent any other bear. And for the other signs, the babirusa is reeeally weird even for a babirusa (it's more like an elephant!?), but the bear and the binturong are cute and very generic so they look very useful signs.

They kinda remind me of the EEP logo.

Sorry if the info has already been spread here, but do you know girls and guys if the Console Edition could delay the next DLC  ?
Thaaanks all!!

Early April still feels kind of early for release, I have no basis for this but I feel like it’s gonna come out later than that. The steamdb is usually around 2 weeks ahead right? I still feel like it’s gonna be sometime around May. If this is the last final dlc it has a chance to be bigger, and I highly doubt they will release one dlc in April and another in May when the fiscal year ends in June. Granted, people said that’s what they did to JWE1 and Planet Coaster so who knows,

All we know is that there's at least one more DLC coming in FY24. So something is definitely coming before May 31. April feels perfectly timed for me, regardless of whether or not something is coming in June...

If it's mid-April it'll be a few weeks after console edition dropped so they won't be pushing it quite as much. And if it's a cross-platform release then it will be a nice placeholder revenue-wise for that month between the initial console drops (base game + DLC releases) and the inevitable console DLC releases in May.

Every once in a while I get reminded how cool the Museum Scenery DLC would be for this game
Sometimes its a little surprising how this hasnt been touched on at all, with education being such a big part of Planet Zoos vibe.
I mean the scenery for the pack basicly assembles itself.
Finding a fitting and appealing animal roster might be the harder part here for a change since it usually the other way around.
Although you can take this in multiple directions, going for "living fossils", whacky adaptions or animals with special ties to prominent naturalists like darwin or linnaeus.

I've always wished they had taken a different approach to DLC and offered up smaller animal-only (1-4 habitat species) and scenery-only (50-100 pieces) packs between the larger ones. Or had sometimes released an animal-only pack plus a scenery-only pack so the two didn't have to be connected.

It would open up so many more options as far as scenery goes! Imagine the possibilities... An "education" pack that would include museum elements, additional guest facilities, new signs, etc. A "parks and gardens" pack with flowers, slate pathing, more fountains, various decor, etc. "City streets" with a new sidewalk path, power lines, parking spaces, cars, building facades, and various clutter.

Frontier has found creative ways to implement "generic" things with packs (or just straight-up add them in free updates which is always appreciated) but I've always felt like the pack structures and themes were pretty limiting in a lot of ways. One of the reasons why I'm really hoping a final pack has a hyper-generic theme and includes scenery as well as at least 8 habitat species TBH.

I just posted about this but there's certain aspects of zoos that the game hasn't delved deep into simply because of the pack themes. The dream (for me, at least) would be for scenery-only DLC. I can think of at least 10 very viable pack ideas/names off the top of my head that would require minimal research for which you could come up with 100+ pieces easily that would make every player's lives infinitely easier.

...And I don't buy the argument that you can just "use workshop items" or "create things using font pieces" to accomplish these things. We can do that. And it's really, really cool and high-key impressive what people are able to do. But it would be nice to be able to create a parking lot with cars in it that don't have a 2.5k+ piece count, y'know? Nevermind the time involved.

The thing is most scenery themes can go really easy with animals.
For example take an urban pack, cars and many usefull street and urban props that you can slap together with a goose/duck, gray hulman, red squirrel/brown rat, possum and some exhibit animal and your golden with a banger scenery pack that conveniently fits some really popular animals with waterfowl, primates, something australian and rodents.
And if in doubt just swap one of them for an ungulate like the white tailed deer or carnivoran like a beech marten and you still got a certified banger
