Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Any monkey that isn't the Sulawesi Macaque is a good addition, no matter how useless it is for the roster.
second that. It's the only specific mammal that I actively don't want in the game.

Secret species pack they say? Clearly we're talking about animals are are good at hiding, with the Chameleon being the headliner as the only animal that would have any large group of people wanting it. And it's the exhibit animal as well. I don't have a roster, but I can guarantee you the scenery pack would be the invisible/null building set.

 However, to be fair, an expansion with roller coasters and other thrill rides (a bit like Kolmarden or SeaWorld) was a common suggestion in the early days of Planet Zoo. And even today some of us consider a carousel a good and kinda realistic addition for an update or DLC.
Ah, those suggestions and speculations in the early days of Planet Zoo were wild, we had lots of ideas ourselves and few knowledge of restrictions, people was dreaming of fantasy animals, dinosaurs... Happy and naive times, before we got to currently "A single water exhibit with a fish would be unrealistic, best we can get is another bear and hopefully a baboon"

Hey y'all, Quell here. Don't worry, this isn't long term, I just needed some help regarding the gift shops. I'm kinda fed up with them because every time I open my zoo, guests are "trapped" inside, and honestly, while funny at first, it's kinda annoying to hear their cries for help while building.

Has this been acknowledged? Because if not, then it should. It kinda kills the gift shops for me, and I haven't been able to truly enjoy them

Welcome back king, as far as I know. Nope.

Frontier has been very focused on consoles. It may have been fixed but I’ll admit I haven’t okayed around with the modular shops much. Is there a ton of stuff by the entrance?

Howdy there. Not really, entrance is kinda open. The guests walk in fine, but then if I save it and reload later on, they're stuck inside screaming

The gift shops are still broken, the patches for 1.16 failed to address these issues and is why the consoles do not have access to 1.16 features for now. The community is really hoping the next update fixes them because they are broken for so many people.

At this point I forget the shops even exist, I was gonna try them out when the update launched, then everyone said they’re broken so I waited, and by now i still hear people say they’re broken so I just gave up on them.
Yeah havent used the system yet either.
And since i never have guests in any of my zoos i probably keep it that way 😂.
Gonna get good use out of the pieces tho

...also feel called out for trying to be positive over the state of things.
I feel like that stance is completely reasonable.

I feel like game right now is mostly good and mostly completed.

Fish and birds would be fantastic additions, but at least for me, they neither make nor break the game. Like game is not bad, nor incomplete until we get those.

So there's much to be positive about, we got so much that we asked for since launch of the game. I understand that some players are hyper-focused on certain missing aspects of the game to start finally enjoying it (flying birds, fish...) and I do feel sorry that no one gets what they wanted, but I don't think it's a bad thing to feel positive or optimistic about this game.

It's a best zoo game we ever got. Is ZT Marine Mania better than Planet Zoo because it has fully aquatic animals? Does the quality of the game rests solely on such few pillars?

For me Planet Zoo is such a massive step-up to any zoo/park management game made to this day, and then so are the DLCs to the base game. There's so much to be positive about
