Just from stock racing, pretty sure they will allow it in unlimited class especially if it self penalises by prodigious fuel use.The Buckyballers are so banning this module (mind you most of those builds will prolly explode)

Fit it in a Dolphin?Boost in SC acts as a toggle - you accelerate superfast and your heat goes up (to damaging levels after a little while). Boost key again to toggle off, you decelerate and cool down (there also seems to be an actual short FSD cooldown before you can boost again).
I was just using a random Cobra with no heat management. Looking forward to working out how best to use this thing...
A Beluga is going to be the only thing with a fuel tank big enough!Fit it in a Dolphin?
~3200 C for large shipsWhat speeds did people get to?
I've yet to test against interdictions, but this could make cold AX builds be able to boost away from the many, many interdictions faced when supercruising to spires/titans. It'd make it nicer than the submit, boost, wake cycle.Trying to figure out the intended use case.
You can't activate the overcharge if you're being interdicted sadly, I have yet to test against Thargoids, maybe it can finally handle their interdictions at the very least?I've yet to test against interdictions, but this could make cold AX builds be able to boost away from the many, many interdictions faced when supercruising to spires/titans. Mamba + 6 Heat sinks and extra fuel!Trying to figure out the intended use case.
That's frustrating. I suppose it might help mitigate if you notice a Thargoid pop up on your sensors before they start the interdiction. I need to learn to read the radar in supercruise better methinks. You can't activate the overcharge if you're being interdicted sadly, I have yet to test against Thargoids, maybe it can finally handle their interdictions at the very least?

You should just be able to burn all the way there, and dock at some ungodly temperature and just wait for it to subside and repair every now and then at dock.I recon a Beluga with 6 Heat sinks, shed loads of fuel and im trying Hutton

Like I mentioned above, this is going to make my massacre stacking doctrine insane... will reduce travel time to USS drastically... not that it was long to begin with (50% of the total activity was probably travel) but this is going to make it blisteringly fast.Trying to figure out the intended use case.
That is a real shame. So actually another weapon in the arsenal of aggressors then, being as they will be able to boost into Interdictor range really quickly. You can't activate the overcharge if you're being interdicted sadly.
I'd be tempted to go for the Dolphin with its broken heat mechanics. But I think the instability will be an issue with long boosts - it's certainly balanced to be most useful for short bursts. You should just be able to burn all the way there, and dock at some ungodly temperature and just wait for it to subside and repair every now and then at dock.
Anyone tried engineering this thing yet?
