DLC18 discussion and predictions

Honestly I'm starting to believe Frontier IS listening, just not in the way people think.

I remember when Oceania dropped and it surprised some people as many weren't expecting a return to regional packs. Go back about a year and a half... After Europe dropped there was quite a lot of people thinking this would be next, we had only had regional packs at that point and Oceania felt like the most neglected continent. Similarly there was a lot of talk about "Greater Asia".... And then shortly after we actually got an Oceania pack, Eurasia was up next which in a lot of ways was the same concept.

Now I remember in late 2022/early 2023 is when the discussion about a farm/domestic pack really started to gain traction for the first time. And now we got a Barnyard pack. I even brought this up as a possibility before based on the way we got Oceania and Eurasia, so honestly maybe I'm onto something.

It seems to me that Frontier is taking notes of what the community wants and adding them to the end of their plans. Now its been nearly a year since that backlash to Tropical not being Latin American themed.... And this has remained the biggest want by the community for about a year now, I feel like it has to be whats next.

On the bright side we waited so long for this DLC that it only take a month for the next one to appear in June.
I never thought if that! Ok here me out, this could be copium:

  1. This pack seemed like a “filler” pack. Heavily requested theming that wouldn’t require a lot of work.
  2. Frontier plans out packs and animals in advance.
  3. Assuming a more complicated pack is coming they might have needed more time. Not just due to console porting, which most likely has a separate team.
We could actually have one more dlc planned. It may come out soon enough to not go against the last report, or console sales have done well enough they decided to make more dlc.

We will see though.

I'm gonna be optimistic here, and - given that we've gotten one pack in the end of April now - expect two more packs this year, each four months apart. Let's say both keep the same pattern, I could see a Latin America Animal Pack and an Ultimate Zoo Animal Pack, both of which would fill the wishes of the community well. For that, I'll also include some monkeys and birds, though will refrain from species that take too much effort to implement.

Latin America:
  • South American Coati
  • Patagonian Mara
  • Ocelot
  • Greater Rhea
  • Spectacled Bear
  • White-Faced Saki
  • Red-Rumped Agouti

Final:
  • Hamadryas Baboon
  • Mantled Guereza
  • Great White Pelican
  • Helmeted Guineafowl
  • Pere David's Deer
  • Blackbuck
  • American Black Bear

I like your logic here, makes sense to me. Hope it turns out to be true.
