Chance would be a fine thing sir. Nothing would please me more than having a ship banned! This would a mean a top five position, which is a fair swap.Remember the penalty for using the same ship in unlimited for different races though!!

Yeah, I think there's quite a lot of time to be saved by routing in the right order. I haven't figured out what the right order is yet, but I'm definitely working out what the wrong order is.Ok, this is getting ridiculous: finally strung a complete run together, only to get stuck and then blown up trying to land on the carrier! Also had to set up a bookmark for the refuelling stop on the way back from jail...
At least I've found out that my first route is less than optimal; doing it all in bits I hadn't realised so back to the drawing board and try a different way of doing it.
Not entirely true, as I discovered this morning.Startig at the gas giant
- the gas giant won't block your jump back to CT Tucanae
Personally, I prefer a corkboard, push pins, and yarn. You have a drawing? Dam I need a pen
Reading through the rules again, I would have thought this covered:Question on the Oxygen bonus. Can I turn it off 5 minutes before I start, then just sit on the pad for 5 minutes before I start, and then launch, and claim an extra 50 seconds of bonus?
Or, if the ruling is that you count oxygen time from launch or when it's turned off, whichever comes later, can I just turn it off before launch and then forget about it and assume my run time is also my oxygen time?
(emphasis by me) would rule out wasting oxygen by sitting on the pad - probably unless you want to have the time sitting on the pad added to your race time (gain 50 seconds oxygen bonus by adding 5 minutes to your race time... no, I won't claim to understand your strategy).Every 30 seconds flown with it off
seems to cover pretty much everything elseI will need to see the Oxygen remaining at the beginning and just before you turn it back on
