When you look at the engines, it doesn't look so clean as Gutamaya ships. It seems, however white-ish, so like a Kruger. Kruger makes passenger ships only so far, but Exploration isn't that far from Tourism, khe, khe ;) So maybe crossover, for bubble and nearby passanger ship, but that poses a question what about Orca current model.

Narwhal-liner is an actual thing, and was used to ferry dignitaries.

They already make a fantastic exploration ship, it just needs a tad bigger fuel scoop ;)

If I was less polite I would've asked you the same thing in mine.
I was addressing your post quite clearly by pointing out that it is not inconceivable to get rank-locked ships with the new ones, when you were sketching up GalNet articles that explain why the new ones are non-locked. You replied with the fact that you can get a imperial ship without rank. I asked where the connection between these two statements is. If you can't answer that, that's fine. I don't see how asking for clarification is impolite, you could have done so yourself as well without me feeling offended.

Hi :)

....Looks to me as if is actually a variant of the Cutter or some other form of it, so your medium designation might be a good guess I think.(y)
So, I'm wondering if the 'new ship' is actually a completely new design or rather a 'variant', which I personally consider not a new ship, a 'new' ship to me is for example the Type 8, which has been more of a new design rather than a combination / re-work of an existing model.

Jack :)

At least in the shipyard screenie (which it must be as I've never seen those hangar doors in any port, but others are stating that hangar 7 is medium, which it is in a port...) there ia a NPC in the engine vent...
It would have been convincing if there was the same in the Cutter shot - I could post a screenie of a Courier woth an alleged human sized blob and aregue that the new ship is a small...

I'd say there are solid chances for an imperial medium ship that will put to shame the Clipper, T8 -T7 style - not like will mind it...

But what i really want is a Cobra Mk5
I kind of hope not in some ways- the Clipper is an excellent ship with prominent downsides that balance things out. The last thing thats needed is a ship that makes it obsolete (like the Chieftain / FAS)- hopefully the Clipper will have some advantage, however slim in a few areas.

Anyways, if they really plan to release at least 4 ships this year, as advertised in FU, they're quite behind the schedule.
Unless they release two at once or in shorter intervals, yes. I've been asking throughout the first half of the year how they intend to release "at least" 4 new ships, as the first took it's time already. On the plus side we can look forward to more ships in 2025 I guess.

Well, till now we have the Python Mk2 which is no Python but more like a FDL Mk2, better armed but not totally sending the FDL to the bins
And then we have the T8 that is besting the T7 in absolutely every aspect.

So the jury is still out regarding the 3rd ship - it could be the fabled Imperial explorer (medium) or the no less fabled Panther Clipper.... or literally anything else

Since I finally have one myself, I can say that for me the name Python 2 is justified. It feels like a far heavier ship than the FdL, initially resisting thrusters before kicking into gear. And to make sure it wasn't just my imagination, I flew several CZ with both the P2 and FdL.
