New Ships 2024

Anyways, if they really plan to release at least 4 ships this year, as advertised in FU, they're quite behind the schedule.
Do FD ever stick to a schedule? the horizons launch, i will give them that, but what other DLCs or seasons with in a DLC have they managed on time? I would be surprised if we DID get 4 new ships this year as opposed to the opposite.

And that is without me bringing up whether an early access paid with cash is truly released anyway ;)

I've got early access paid with Arx, so yes, if I'm flying it, it is released. (and yes, I bought Arx with real money, and have a heap left over, but I didn't pay real money for the ship, did I? In truth I could buy other items than early access ships with the same Arx...)

Well, they were quite on time lately... i dont recall any major delays post Odyssey (except for consoles 😇 )

I kind of hope not in some ways- the Clipper is an excellent ship with prominent downsides that balance things out. The last thing thats needed is a ship that makes it obsolete (like the Chieftain / FAS)- hopefully the Clipper will have some advantage, however slim in a few areas.
Should be quite easy IMO. The differentiating features of Clipper is it's class 7 internal slot and its speed. If the class 7 slot was downgraded to class 6 and one of the class 4 upgraded to class 5, two extra utility slots added and hardpoints brought closer together while keeping them the same 2L 2M (or 3L 2M to bring in line with Krait MKII/Python MKI), it could be an interesting medium explorer/multirole. And without making Clipper obsolete for trading or for being able to fit the universal limpet controller. In fact, Clipper is already obsolete for these two considerations due to Type 8, and it's main selling points today are that it's ridiculously cheap, ridiculously fast and it looks pretty🙂

I'd say of course it is released. A finished product you can buy and play with. The "early" is just in regards to all the people not wanting to spend money. They will have to wait 3 months to get it. As it seems it is not "early" as in "unfinished", judging by the quality people reported for the PM2 and the T8. I think this is great, it will increase incentive for others to pay more money.

They don't release a schedule and we don't have a roadmap with dates. They release stuff when it's ready (sometimes too early such as the Odyssey launch).

It's... Ineffable... Sublime... Mere onomatopoeia fails to convey the power, grace and raw emotion when you hit that boost button.

On the other hand, onomatopoeia does convey my own raw emotion when I hit that boost button:

"YEEEE-HAAAAAAW!!!"

Followed by:

"BWAHAHAHAHAAA! AGAIN!!!"

The best I can come up for Python II's boost sound itself is:

"WOOOooorpKSHHhtBOOOOOMtshhhaaa!"

But that's but a pale shadow of the real thing🙃
