I don't know if I should talk about that here and maybe you're not interested in mods but someone made a great one for the Bald Eagle on Nexus (I just don't know if it works because I've never used it)

Quite common to see rescued eagles in open topped enclosures in the usa since they can't fly well or at all. In fact I've got a bald Eagle habitat in the houston zoo recreation to build soon.

Tomorow my last exam, next week a dlc announcement, my bday one day after the likly dlc releae date, life really do be giving all the goodys at once

Perhaps it’s more regionally based because I also couldn’t name a single open topped bald eagle exhibit I’ve seen aside from Houston, and the vast majority of my zoo visits have been across the southeast.

Regardless, I can’t imagine they’d bother adding a single species typically associated with aviaries which would no doubt feature excessive new programming when there’s still plenty of less elaborate, super popular birds left on the table - secretarybird, shoebill, another crane, ducks, pheasants.

Afaik US law doesn't allow to house rescued bald eagles without their wings being pinioned (I don't get why tbh...), hence why they are often found in open-topped exhibits over there. In my opinion, if the bald eagle ever came to the game it should be able to fly, adding big raptors to keep them on the ground would feel so underwhelming.

I guess, political symbolism can end up with stuff like that ahahah, although if you asked me it's way sadder to 100% chop off eagle wings just so they don't live in a "cage"

The Central Florida Zoo has Bald Eagles in an open top enclosure. None of their wings were clipped though, they all suffered injuries in the wild that left them unable to fly.
