Howler or spider monkey chance then?Don't worry, both Hamadryas and sifaka were removed together, so if it actually means anything we'll either get both or neither![]()

Or eight African Antelopes. I know I'm in the minority here, but even one more is unnecessary to me, eight would be a nightmare.Relax guys, it's no big deal, let's just take it as it comes, unless they give us eight alligators or eight penguins...
As for African antelope, I can accept an eland oryx, but that's it.Or eight African Antelopes. I know I'm in the minority here, but even one more is unnecessary to me, eight would be a nightmare.
For them to supposedly put a ton of work into new locomotion animations for the sifaka, when they could have adjusted existing brachiation animations for the much more highly desired spider monkeys is mind-boggling.
Do we have any basis for dictionary updates before? I suppose it’s still possible what we are getting is 100% different than we are speculating. Though, the removal of certain words is suspicious, that can mean nothing or everything. When using Wayback Machine, I can view an archived version of the website from the 15th and see all of them. They've definitely updated it. Ok, let me run with the dictionary stuff for a sec, under the impression that it's relevant to the next DLC.
It seems really odd to me that they would add animal names to the dictionary for animals that they decided to scrap. My theory is that they launched this updated version of the dictionary for the Planet Coaster 2 website, mistakingly including some (or all) of the names with the animals for the next pack. A couple of things get me about this. Secretary is still there (so is echidna but whatever). So either it was not deleted by mistake or maybe the secretary bird isn't in the DLC. And then more broadly, the obvious lack of South American animals is INCREDIBLY suspicious. There is absolutely no way Frontier doesn't know that's what the majority of the community wants. I remember back in 2022 when we were speculating Amazon and Latin America packs before Wetlands was announced. For them to supposedly put a ton of work into new locomotion animations for the sifaka, when they could have adjusted existing brachiation animations for the much more highly desired spider monkeys is mind-boggling.
I mean, I fully acknowledge that the dictionary may not have anything to do with the DLC. For speculation funsies, I'm just basing my reasoning on the assumption the dictionary animals are relevant to the next DLC. I definitely think it's possible that they could mean nothing. So, assuming they are, I think removing them is very suspicious and in this scenario, I think it's much more likely that they are in the next pack than not. I just can't wrap my head around Frontier adding the names of scrapped animals to the dictionary on accident.Do we have any basis for dictionary updates before? Exactly. That is why I think it would be so weird for Frontier to add the sifaka and not the spider monkey, or arguably even easier the howler monkey. I would argue sifaka locomotion is even harder than the tree kangaroo's. They do this weird kangaroo hop on the ground and then leap from tree to tree in an upright position. Nothing in the game even remotely moves like they do. I mean, I'll be so happy if we get them because I love sifakas, and I thought they would never even have a being added. But their arboreal locomotion seems really difficult to do.We have brachiation in the orangutan and we have tail-hanging in the binturong. Those are the two things spider monkeys are famous for.
Eh. We are thinking the opposite...Why do people think that the term being removed from the dictionary means they have been scrapped lol obviously they are not going to leave such an obvious hint hanging around
Huh. All those animals live in Arid environments.Well, with "Sifaka", "Spurred", "Dik-Dik", "Hamadryas" and "Markhor" gone, I feel a bit more confident that we're gonna get those animals
"Goodfellow" is gone too!Well, with "Sifaka", "Spurred", "Dik-Dik", "Hamadryas" and "Markhor" gone, I feel a bit more confident that we're gonna get those animals... But sadly the three animals I care about the most seem to still be in the dictionary, which is unfortunate to say the least.
Hope we'll still see the Echidna and Tree Kangaroo, or at the very least the secretary... If those are gone for good, then I think I lost most of my interest in this potential pack
Maybe its something like a scrublands animal pack after all haha.Huh. All those animals live in Arid environments.
I still see it on the PC2 dictionary"Goodfellow" is gone too!
I can still see it... Together with "Echidna" and "Secretary""Goodfellow" is gone too!
yep you're right, nevermind. I used the search feature and just realized that its case sensitive lolI still see it on the PC2 dictionary
If this is the last dlc that might make it the most wild possible choice for the final dlc yet. If anything you would have thought Rainforest could be the last biome.Maybe its something like a scrublands animal pack after all haha
