DLC18 discussion and predictions

I'm surprised that after +4 years of content and free gifts people still gripe and complain instead of being satisfied that the game lasted this long in the 1st place.
So what if an animal isn't the best choice? What about the +25 other animals you can use? I understand being disappointed, but still, it's a free gift and an animal that I would see on many wishlists (in the case of leopard). Be glad we didn't get some weird obscure thing nobody has heard of or something like a black rat

If this isn’t the final pack, then there has to be two more packs at the very least, because they love releasing DLC in 2 pack bundles, and since they have 4 more of the 14 Season Pass DLCs they quoted left, which is 2 more bundles, that leaves Barnyard and this pack outside of the 14. If one more is coming out after this, the it needs to be paired with something else.

My two cents about the theme stay the same as I said before. Looking at PC1, JWE1 and JWE2, only JWE2 had a theme that screamed last pack. All the others didn't, and if you take away the "bigger pack at the end" like they did for JWE2, then I think any pack can be the end pack.
I disagree with that sentiment because PC1 had a larger, more expensive pack with Ghostbusters and JWE1 had a "Return to Jurassic Park" introducing their first flighted animals with the Pteranodon.
Look, I know you're actually a developer, so you probably know more than I do. And I'll eat crow if I turn out to be wrong but idk I got a feeling this ain't the end yet chief

Like if I get a baboon for a monkey, and then a bird or two. I’ll be over the moon. I just hope Frontier goes to grasslands and wetlands style of packs and not go back to mammal heavy habits.

Just make a diverse pack for everyone! PLEASE FRONTIER I NEED A DUCK

For all the talk about leopards: https://www.cell.com/current-biology/fulltext/S0960-9822(21)00457-7

The current taxonomy doesn't reflect the diversity and thus the proper approach to conservation: African and Asian leopards have a deep split, all Asian populations are quite closely related, with different African populations showing differences comparable to those between Asian putative subspecies:

The split is also of half a million years, greater than the wolf-coyote split, so there is an argument to be made about 2 leopard species.

So, we better adjust our approach to conservation in function of greater understanding, rather than treating something as volatile as subspecies as an uncontestable fact.

Why does everyone want the European marmot all of a sudden?
I'm genuinely asking cause I really don't see the reason why we should hype up what is basically a fat grey prairie dog

However, looking at it some more, I think regardless of the theme we can also look at the Console DLC bundles. They always come in bundle of two, so that means that Barnyard and whatever this pack is going to probably are going to be in a bundle with each other. That would, if we go by the usual pattern of console bundle releases, put the release of it in May 2025 (Season Pass was going to end in March 2025).

Given that May 2025 is the end of the financial year for Frontier, feels like a fitting time to end it there.
I'd argue that JWE 1 did with the Return to Jurassic Park, but I pretty much agree with the rest of this. I'm not gonna say we're getting more DLC, but it's not the end of the world either
