Actually it’s a definitely 100% true thing! I would know, my brother’s sister-in-law’s uncle works for Frontier and he said that it’s definitely gonna happen.
It’s totally not something that the forum stuck to as an idea and in an echo chamber made it sound more plausible, with the only basis being 5 species of insect bringing a dlc to “12 animals”
Now watch as we get 12 animals, all part of my cunning reverse psychology plan...

I won't either. But i never wanted so.much for Frontier to completly surprise us and give us something completly different that we are thinking. Or at least i hope that we really haven't guesses the whole roster already. In part because none of the animals are high in my wishlists other than the secretary and in part because it would be very boring to just have guessed every single animal in the pack beforehand haha.
I bet that this pack will include at least 4 animals, possibly more, and each will belong to separate genera and possibly separate classes 
I've seen people float the rather sensible idea of animal+scenery pack, which would be 11 animals plus 1 or 2 exhibit animals. So I can see a 12 animal pack (11+1) coming
I suspect the baboon and secretary bird might've been cut from the arid pack. Would explain why it is so ungulate heavy.
Sensible based on what? We have two examples of the final DLC being "more" (Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution) and one example of it being "normal" (JWE2). IMO animal pack + scenery would simply be 7+1+150 pieces. It would still count as "more".
Anyway, my point was more that so many folks seem to be taking it as a given, and in doing so, in classic PZ community fashion, they are setting themselves up for disappointment.
Well, I'm not really counting on that dlc being bigger. But it's nice to imagine. If there's less new content but still something nice then I'm happy too.
It's a game at the end of the day. There's a ceiling on how much I can be disappointed by a game, and it's pretty low.
A game can disappoint, but it should be self contained within a game, content of DLC shouldn't affect anyone's mood.
I hype myself up because it feels fun and I'm bored, but whatever is content of next DLC it can't be that bad. I'll find something fun to do with Yacare Caiman if I have to.

-Echidna (although the more I think about, has anyone checked if it's mentioned in the platypus description in the game as being the only other type of monotreme since someone said some of the animals on the dictionary are mentioned in other animal's zoopedia entries?)
-Civet (apparently mentioned in the binturong's zoopedia though?)
-Impala (mentioned in another animal's zoopedia)
-African Spurred Tortoise (exhibit animal?)
Although the supposedly leaked animals don't seem to fit any kind of specific theme when all taken together, which is a bit confusing if they really would all be in the upcoming pack.

Absolutely not an exhibit animal. It's closer in size to the two giant tortoises in game.
