Imaginez si dans le prochain DLC nous avions des oiseaux volants comme le condor des Andes ou le pygargue à tête blanche
About sums up this thread.Did a bit of "image association" with my partner using the key art tonight. Basically asked her to make a snap judgement on the "theme" based on the image. First thought, no real thinking... Her response? "Foggy forest glen." And, I mean, she's not wrong...
Then when she focused on the animals she immediately got all confused. She knew the species but couldn't figure out the connection. "Mountains? But the baboons don-- Asia? But the baboons agai--this is stupid. Can we get back to the TV?"
I consider the black bear needed
You literally said "I consider the black bear needed", as per the quote above.I never said it was![]()
Yeah, as Konig helpfully supplied, that was my whole point, but this thread is moving so fast these days I don't blame you for missing the context.I guess that goes towards the one man’s need vs another’s cause the ABB is necessary for us American players to make a realistic zoo
I don't even know where to begin with this. I'm going to breeze on by the embarrassing admission you made that you have never heard of New Zealand and cut to the point:Why am I not surprised your from Australia, all of you aussies don’t have any unique animals inside your zoos besides the native species. As for unique animals something that looks different from others in the game like coati, burrowing owl, spider monkey, duck, shoebill, hyrax, klipspringer, dik dik, muntjac, monel, and walrus.
Now, observe, as Frontier reveals the Walia ibex!Aoudad - with us now getting the Markhor along with the takin, ibex and sheep we are still missing an arid caprine. Doesn’t have to be the aoudad but it does feel like the most popular one for the role so that’s what I’m choosing here
They definetly are being kept. But the thing with monkeys is that there are so many species with a decent number of holdings that you cant really pin one down and say 'thats the common one you always see!'Are colobus monkeys common in UK zoos? I don’t think I’ve been to a zoo here in America that doesn’t have a colobus monkey of some sort… I’m still shocked that they aren’t in the game yet.
I tried to stay away from the obvious ones like SA monkeys cause we already know we need those.
- Nile Crocodile. Pretty sure this one speaks for itself itself, the only African reptile we have is the Nile monitor which doesn’t fill the same niche as a croc.

Were getting an arid caprine actually with the markhor as they also live in deserty, shrublandy regions and are not exclussive to mountainsAnyway so let’s get this back on track - first of all I expect us to get news either tomorrow or Friday. Tomorrow because Tuesdays are popular for announcements Friday because well is national animal day.
I do like the idea of what animals we actually need and what animals would add something to the game. I’m gonna try to be as unbiased as possible, here are a few animals that I feel would genuinely add something to the game:

- Japanese Serow or Raccoon Dog. As someone said earlier we only have 2 native Japanese animals, one a bird and one a primate (ironic cause those are 2 of the rarest types we get lol) so having something like a canid or ungulate even would help Japanese sections in zoos - you could also combine the Serow with macaques and cranes probably.

I just think they look very similar, that's all. This gives me immeasurable pain on every level. I don't know how one can even come to that conclusion, the Scottish Highlands are absolutely no way near the arctic.
Why not both? Throw in the orinoco, morelett's and chinese alligator too. I'm all for more crocodilians and more reptiles and amphibians in general. Especially turtles. For a game about conservation it sure is lacking the most endangered group of animals on earth.Sigh... as much as I agree Africa deserves a crocodilian, I'd rather it not be the Salty 2.0... go with something original, like the Slender-Snouted Croc...

I'm with you on "news on Tuesday or Friday" vibe. Though I do think what that news is might vary if it's Tuesday. Could be a trailer drop. Could be a new update screenshot. Could be... I don't know what. Hah. But the silence today means they gotta say something tomorrow. Though it may not necessarily be the news we're hoping for.Anyway so let’s get this back on track - first of all I expect us to get news either tomorrow or Friday. I don't hate any of these picks. But the crocodile is, to me at least, the least "necessary" of the bunch (relatively speaking). There's a sufficient "stand-in" for it while the others are all relatively unique! The serow would probably be my top pick with raccoon dog being a close second. The aoudad is a fine pick but... I'm just not in love with it.I do like the idea of what animals we actually need and what animals would add something to the game. Yeah, except it took about 90 seconds, not 90 days.About sums up this thread.
Sigh... because we already have five crocodilians in the game... and for a lot of people, just having the basic four (an alligator, a gharial, a crocodile, and a caiman) was enough...Why not both? Throw in the orinoco, morelett's and chinese alligator too. I'm all for more crocodilians and more reptiles and amphibians in general. Especially turtles. For a game about conservation it sure is lacking the most endangered group of animals on earth.
I prefer the generic European wildcat. They look the same to me, so I don't need to have another Formosan or Himalayan bear situation. They did it right with the puma by giving the generic puma instead of the Florida panther. This is the third time I've been tagged for wanting the Scottish wildcat, I'm getting the feeling it's an unpopular choice here lol
Probably doesn't help that they look like an ordinary Domestic Cat... which makes sense, they're both members of the Felis genus...This is the third time I've been tagged for wanting the Scottish wildcat, I'm getting the feeling it's an unpopular choice here lol
Adding the Florida Panther specifically wouldn't even make sense nowadays, since it's been considered a part of the North American Cougar subspecies (Puma concolor couguar) since the early 2000's.I prefer the generic European wildcat.
