It's just another elite dangerous vs planet series playerbase issue, we see it all the time in the frontier livestreams since spaceships are cooler or whatever.

So when PZ2 comes out can one of yall get hired and then "accidentally" leak stuff about it, thanks

It all just seems odd to me. They couldn't get anyone to inject a bit more enthusiasm in to the recent communications, to the "last pack" excitement? The people involved don't need to actually care about zoos after all. How many of us fake enthusiasm every day about whatever our respective employers make/do?
I just think it's a weird business decision to alienate customers who have followed their game for years and whom they presumably want to market PZ2 to in a few years time.
Remember, before we had like 5 people in their community manager team responsible for the Planet series. After they were fired or decided to leave, the managers from Elite took up from them and then they hired one new CM who was probably thrown in with not much of futher explaining since all the other people were specialized in Elite. It is unfortunate for us, but I do not blame any of the CMs.

I personally disagree about the Leopard, I do like it but I would much rather get a bird. But to each there own.

So, in the end the tortoise, which is arguably the best looking animal from this DLC, is the only one without a dedicated post from the official planet zoo social media. Or did I miss something? Is the post still coming?

No, I'm definitely not blaming any individual at Frontier. I'm just talking about the general structure and feel of things now, it seems that they have lost their way a bit.
Anyway, I don't want to get too doom and gloom here, as I am looking forward to the pack tomorrow. I'm surprised by how much I liked the Dik-Dik! Can't wait to see that little guy in my zoos.

They already are considering its called the Planet Zoo 2: Northern Frontier Pack with Atlantic Puffins in the brand new Aviary System
Mantled Guereza would have been 100 times better and they are so much more common in zoos where I live. But I am very biased towards them.
The pack is fine imo, but that’s kinda it. Just fine. I don’t hate it nor do I love it. I’ll still buy it. None of these animals were on my list and honestly I’m mostly excited for the dik-dik and baboon. But like a lot of people, I just wanted SA primates or birds and getting none of those is a disappointment. Might they be in a PZ2 game? Sure but that’s a whole other game that is years away if it happens, and I’d need a whole other computer for it by then so not getting them now is like womp-womp.
I honestly feel like this is a good ending for Planet Zoo.
Not the best ending, but it could have been a lot worse.
And I feel like it should be an ending.
We already saw a pretty noticeable drop in quality with the last two DLCs, and I get why people would want more animals and more content to be released (heck, I would too) but I think that this situation can't go on forever. We ask for new animals, we get new animals, but at the same time the team at Frontier gets smaller and so the quality drops.
The more I look at the newest Zookeeper's Pack, the more I see that Frontier still tried hard, but didn't really reach the same levels as last year. It's still good, but not nearly as great as Eurasia or Oceania or Tropical... And I kind of feel bad about it. Everything gives off this sort of tired energy, like it's struggling to find the strength to go on. I feel like we won't be as lucky next time, so I personally believe that Planet Zoo should end here before the situation gets worse.
But maybe this is just me humanizing what is in fact just a company that in the end of things just cares about the money it makes...

Yes this! It is so annoying when people just say "just wait for PZ2"...like, we do not even know if there will be a sequel and if it will, it might take years before we see it.
