The thing with Inara is that it's updated by players, so you need to pay attention to the RH column. If it's been updated in the last day or 2, that should be sufficiently up-to-date to rely on. The place at the top of the list, 18.11ly away, was updated less than an hour ago as I write this; so flying to Vinge Ring in Bakaduninka seems to be as good an option as any other.
To save typing, click on the little Copy icon to the right of the system name, and then you can paste it straight into the search box at the top of the Galaxy map. It should move to put the destination system in the middle of the screen, and if you click and hold, it'll plot a route based on your current ship's jump range, whatever star types you've selected if you did change as I suggested in a previous post (you don't need to do that if you're not bothering with a fuel scoop) and whether you're using fastest or economical mode as others have suggested.
The stock Sidewinder you want to use has a jump range of 7.8ly, and a fuel range of 28.7ly. This should be easily enough to do the 3 jumps or so it'll take in fastest mode, without needing to scoop fuel or refuel at a station.
And finally, you seem to be suffering a little from "paralysis by analysis". The absolute worst that can happen right now is you get blown up somehow, and redeploy back in the last station you docked at, minus the 1600 credits rebuy for a stock Sidewinder. So you try again. Once you've bought your dream Cobra, then you do need to make sure you always have the cost of the rebuy available (it'll be 360,000 credits or so), but right now you've got a freedom to just go for it that doesn't come again. Climb into your Sidey, enjoy the trip to Vinge Ring, and then enjoy buying and equipping the Cobra!
Good luck!
