Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

The dormant Trianguli Sector BA-A d85 should now have enough for completion at the next update. Hopefully those Commanders who have been driving it gradually for the last few weeks can relax this evening!

Still we await a possible Spire site trade which may come tomorrow, although with the Mandalay and new Powerplay there will be plenty to explore either way!

Additional: That moved significantly less than expected, perhaps around a third. Such a discrepancy is not believable as a strength change in the last few days, although it could be believable as the system still being Spire-like.

I would also be ready for the possibility of Cocijo starting its counter-attack campaign on humans. I doubt it will be much longer before it does.

I vaguely recall similar for HIP 30439 requiring an oddly high effort for a standard control. Seems to suggest that despite the spire site remaining offline (and no Titan to use it), the difficulty remains as if it were a spire/‘Matrix’ system.

Where can I find tactical core chips now? It seems like Mapon was the last place but now I can’t seem to find anymore revenants.

Edit: just found some as soon as I posted… heh

Indeed there were those two remaining Control systems which had Military bases, and I am hoping to take some of the T. Raijin apprentices to some new Spire sites for that!

So, it appears Cocijo did take two of its spires back (OS-T d3-143 and XT-Q c5-18), and according to the galaxy map YT-F's spire was switched on this week as well. Not quite sure which systems were traded, however it is down to 117 so it dropped a few.

... and there seems to be two instead of one alert alongside the usual invasion triplet. Nothing else out of the ordinary yet, however.

Indeed, we have just checked all systems; Marindhs ended Recovery early, and the Thargoids have retreated from the following nine:

  • Col 285 Sector OS-T d3-144

  • Col 285 Sector YT-F b12-7
  • Col 285 Sector ZT-F b12-0
  • HIP 36809
It seems very logical that the price for restoring a Spire site is three empty systems, given that the strength of a Matrix system is around three times higher!

Seems slightly less tied to adjacency than in previous rounds. These three weren't adjacent, but OS-T d3-105 and YT-F b12-1 which are remain up.

EDIT: oh, another interesting difference. At Raijin, the Spire recapture took place before the regular attack. This time round, YT-F b12-7 was used to invade Sukurbago before disappearing.

Indirectly, this reminds me—in response to some poor Galnet attempts months ago to recognise various squadrons, and perhaps depending how Titan Cocijo goes, I am considering starting a large thank-you collection of Squadrons and Commanders, with any interesting information such as which Maelstroms or war actions were their main focus. Such would include everything from direct combat and evacuation to background testing and analysis, definitely with a place for Titan rescues!

That said, I imagine a list with Commander names could become a source of unwanted friend requests.

I think the general rate could be worth including the Spire purchases! In effect last week was 27 Control with 29 clear but 2 reoccupation alongside 1 conversion and 1 non-Cocijo, prior to which was a special Titan week not comparable to others, then some more typical weeks which match the 23–28 range.

Unrelated to that and speaking of special Titan weeks, I am also quite curious; are you still hidden out around Colonia? More to the point, if you have not returned at all but would be interested in attacking the final Titan, you are welcome to a Titan practice evening to cover everything needed. Apologies if my recollection is completely wrong!

Well the squadron I am in has been to every titan. Engaged in at least a bit of every activity from rescuing people from burning stations to taking on Titans. I have yet to poison a spire site or rescue pods from a live titan. Everything else I've done. We are small, only a handful of players, but anything helps.

Do you mind if I ask where?

I've been looking for the last 2 days, and I'm starting to get frustrated!

From this helpful note, you should be able to use Military settlements in Desurinbin or HIP 38235.

However that was also just before the new weekly cycle, after which the Thargoids have reoccupied the Spire sites in Col 285 Sector XT-Q c5-18, Col 285 Sector OS-T d3-143 and Col 285 Sector YT-F b12-2, where it will be much quicker to destroy many Banshees and Revenants from the air!

Yeah, what Aleks said. Those two systems were the ones I was looking in and the Odyssey bases there do have some but not all so if you go to one that doesn’t, try a few more.

That would be cool! I have 2 pages on the spreadsheet one for CMDRs who have participated called CMDR List and one for Squadrons called Squadron List. Fun fact:
53 Squadrons have participated, and a vast majority are Independent. We have at least 1 Squadron per major Power, which is nice.
137 CMDRs have helped, and most are also not in a squadron

Dumb question (because thanks to the issue, game has stopped crashing)... i noticed last titan doesn't have the little heartbeat thing there. Is that now hidden until the Titan becomes vulnerable?
