I tried taking the apex down to plant some malwares but they got so mad. I turned off the alarm sauce and replaced my gun but still wound up on boot hill. Cost of an Apex ride, too.

There's also times I've had a fighter out causing havoc while I repair, or times when NPC's start fighting each other when they're unassociated mission targets rather than black box chums. Maybe all that chaos helped to attract security instead (or as well as). Regardless, I'd use it anyway since it often jacks up bounty prices. A little engineering and it'll scan faster than the multi-cannons fire up.



Oh yeah, I learned that limpet targeting mistake pretty fast. Though it can be used to your advantage if you don't wanna waste time picking up useless space debri.

Got slapped around a lil on my latest delivery run...

Partly my fault. I'd had a few beers, got the usual "big haul like that" message and decided "I'm having him".

"Him" turned out to be an anaconda, with a fighter. It was... closer than I'd like to admit. Partly because he kept deploying chaff so I could get a target lock, and partly because I have forgotten everything I ever knew about fighting in Elite Dangerous. And then when he exploded for a bounty of 1 million, the police showed up and started shooting me? Thanks guys 😾 Low waked out of that and they didn't follow, thankfully.

Well, half a mil repairs, still a net positive encounter. First time I've seen cracks in the Cutter's canopy though. Guess this is what I get for flying a 600+ ton freighter loadout with only guns and a (relatively) small shield for protection. Let's see what happens next time when I go in with a size 8 prismatic and some shield cell boosters...

Edit: Still haven't paid off this fine with Los Chupacabras from Jameson's. They just don't seem to want me to.

I have, however, moved my PC under my desk and freed up some space on the desktop. I've finished reworking my cable management and am moving on to theming my RGB. I might go for a powder blue and vanilla ice cream theme for Elite, with a matching EDHM_UI mod.

All RGB components on my rug are set to a sort of teal-ish blue to match my EDHM-edited ED HUD

I had a bounty put on me last week for murder, it took 24 hours (I think, close to it) of play time before I could pay it off. You could always turn yourself in and take a vacation at the prison barge. ;)

In theory, you should be given "Restricted Access" if you have a fine that was issued by any of the factions present at the station. Then you'd be allowed to land and pay off the fine, and thus restore normal access.

That's how it is supposed to work.

However, something went subtly wrong in the code around the time of the Odyssey launch. It's never been fixed by FDEV, so nowadays it just doesn't always work properly.

Usually logging off and on fixes it.

Sometimes it will fix itself if you switch to Horizons.

It's just a nuisance, nothing more.

On her helmet, it says "Fly the friendly..." but I can never see the last word. Airways?

Every time I warch this film with Mrs. Tyres around, she always tuts a lot because I'm doing the script out loud. I think I may have watched it too much.
